"Richie and his crew were amazing! They showed up on time, friendly, neat, quick and professional. They are masters at their craft. We will definitely be calling them for more wallpapering projects in our home"
"The OnCall team does wonderful work installing wallpaper! They are very communicative, thorough and clean. I have worked with them on many projects and they always do a great job! They also do repair work seamlessly (we had them do one on an older install that was by someone else we had extra paper for). The team members have a good eye and are experts in their field."
"Robert Axt is a total professional. He always responded to phone calls. If he was going to be late(never really more then a 1/2 hour) he called. He worked with us and our schedule. Robert repaired our wallpaper and where he removed paper he did a great job of painting. His work was clean, accurate and the work was done really well. He also is a very nice man. We will be working with him again. The only thing we would suggest is that he covers his work shoes with booties."

"It went perfectly. Wallpaper was expertly installed and looks sensational. The installer was professional, polite and the paper is perfectly seamless and pattern is perfectly matched. Excellent experience!"
"I found Ray thru Home Advisor. Needed someone to remove the wallpaper in my son's bedroom and paint the entire room. Ray contacted me promptly to schedule a time for a free estimate. I was pleased with the estimate provided and hired him for the job. Following Christmas he removed all the wallpaper, prepped/fixed the walls, painted the entire room within 2 1/2 days. Ray is accommodating, personable, showed up on time each morning, cleaned up after working, removed the wallpaper with ease, and was meticulous in painting. I have more wallpaper to remove and painting to be accomplished in the spring...so we plan on doing more business with Ray in the near future."
"Fantastic we repainted the whole 3bedroom 3000 square foot apartment He took everything off walls even painted the trim every room painted different colors what an incredible job we got so many compliments"
"They were arrived at about 10 AM, the desired time as one of us is a late to bed and late riser, discussed details with me, were checked by the owner every other day, kept the place meticulously clean. There are one extremely small spot where a bit more fill would have smoothed out the surface (where wood overlaid stucco - I inspected things carefully but missed it first time around) but the place looks excellent. Issue is how well it will hold up. Only time will tell. If I asked that something be done that was not obviously in the contract, e.g., repairing the damaged stucco on one of the planters in the front of the house, I spoke to the owner and he quickly picked the best person (or brought in someone the next day) to complete the task. I would use Star again and suggested that my neighbor consider using their services for interior painting."
"Steve is a perfectionist, which is what you want when it comes to painting. He and his crew (they’ve been with him a long time!) are competent, professional, and very neat. Can HIGHLY recommend and will use in the future for both inside and outside painting."
The average cost to install or hang wallpaper is around $575 per room or project, with typical prices ranging from $200 to $1,500. Costs can be higher for custom or luxury products. Since project size varies, it's often helpful to estimate labor costs per square foot, which generally fall between $1 and $7, with an average of $4 per square foot. The total cost depends on several factors, including the quality and type of wallpaper, the size and type of the room, and whether old wallpaper must be removed first. Opting for less expensive materials like peel-and-stick wallpaper or choosing to do the installation yourself can lower the overall cost. For the most accurate estimate, it is best to have a professional inspect the space and provide a quote.
You may end up with extra wallpaper once your project is finished. Hang on to that wallpaper, as you may need to use it to patch up areas that get damaged later on. If you have a lot of excess wallpaper, try getting creative with it. You can use it to line the inside of a cabinet or drawers, for example.
If you need a stronger magnetic surface, or you need to use a different type of paint in the room (like waterproof paint in a damp basement), there are other accessible options. You could fit a steel panel over the wall, try magnetic wallpaper, or apply chalk paint instead.
If you want an inexpensive shortcut, hang a pinboard or chalkboard on your wall. These removable options are ideal if you’re a renter who can’t repaint or plan to move in the near future.
In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.
Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.
There can be too much of a good thing when it comes to accent walls, so avoid creating one in every room in your house. Some rooms, like bathrooms and kitchens, don’t naturally lend themselves to accent walls, so it’s best to skip them there. Of course, your home should reflect your own sense of style, so if accent walls in multiple rooms appeal to you, there’s no hard-and-fast rule forbidding it.
