"Had an old wooden picket fence that was falling apart. Montco Fence replace the wood fence with a white Vinyl picket fence. The guys were terrific, it was a tough job in that part of the fence went through fairly heavy vegetation that required a lot of work to remove the old fence. We are very happy with the work and results. I would recommend and we will use again when it comes time to replace some privacy fencing we have in the next few years."

"If I ever need any fencing done again I would definitely use them. The cost is the best around and the work is done fast and done well. They clean up leaving no mess for you to clean up. The one thing that impressed me was them being on time, that's important in today's busy world. So if you want fencing, concrete work and some tree trimming this is the company you want."

"Stephanie and her husband arrived to reinstall our gate, post and one section of fence on time. They quickly cleaned up the post hole and post, removing old concrete and then reset the post, reinstalled the fence section and gate. Work was done quickly and professionally. We would not hesitate to use BDFenceman again for our fencing needs."

"They completed the work in a day and did a great job removing the old fence. After they left I noticed the 6' gate (two doors) seemed to be (where the doors meet) to be poorly cut and one board wasn't nailed in. Also, in removing the old fence they had taken the rain meter for the sprinkler system, which was secured to the fence. I emailed them and they returned the next day and patched up the 6' gate and had the rain meterds. I then noticed after they left the the 4' gate would not close all the way in part due to the humidity and swelling the wood. I mailed them again (x3) and the owner came out and filed down the wood. However, this solution didn't last and again the gate wasn't able to close all of the way. I've emailed and called several times only to be told that someone would be out or the boss would call me as soon as he got in. The fence was installed on June 30 and it is now August 8, and the gate is useless. What started as a great experience has now left me wondering whether I made a wise choice. I'm just wanting a functioning gate. I don't think that's asking too much."

"Came on time, many workers were hired for initial dredging and clean up of concrete so it went relatively uneventful. The areas with our personal things were taped off with plastic. We were very pleased with the process.  And 2 years later still are glad we chose Rightway for the job. They weren't the cheapest nor the highest priced but we felt fair for the job. Plus there was no surprises or extra costs."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

It’s usually cheaper to buy pre-made fence panels than to build your own. This surprises many people since DIY tasks so often save money. However, large stores don’t have to pay the same amount per board of wood that homeowners do, allowing them to sell pre-made panels at a more cost-effective rate. Pre-made panels also save a great deal of time, energy, and guesswork. The drawback is that they are harder to customize to the shape and slope of your yard.

While picking a standard chain-link fence might be your first instinct, that metal can easily rust over time, making your space look not-so-great. Black chain-link fences are a simple and affordable way to fence in an area of your yard and are also less prone to showing rust than traditional galvanized steel chain-link fences. Plus, black chain-link fencing is a more unique option that can look very striking and elegant when installed properly.

Check for gaps or weak spots where your dog could escape and seal them. Remove toxic plants, chemicals, and potentially hazardous items. The list includes cocoa bean mulch, which is harmful to pups if ingested.

It's also essential to provide shade and fresh water. You may want to consider installing a dog-friendly surface on concrete areas like artificial turf. Additionally, regularly inspect for potential hazards, such as sharp objects or broken glass. Most importantly, supervise your dog during outdoor time to ensure their safety.

A setback is an area of space between your fence and the property line, meaning you build a fence a few inches before your neighbor’s property begins. You can build your fence on a setback—some communities recommend this—but this means a sliver of your property will be on your neighbor’s side of your fence.

A wobbly fence can be caused by a number of things, though poor installation is the usual culprit. It’s always best to have your fence installed by a professional who can ensure the posts are placed correctly and that the chain links have the correct amount of tension.
