"It was great! 4 of my immediate neigbors were getting the same kind of fence, so it was a smooth process. The crew was punctual, worked hard, and did a quality job for a reasonable price. Ultimately, it was a good experience, and I would recommend the company to others."
"It went very well. The handyman (Rich) came on time and was extremely helpful. He worked fast, collected all materials before leaving, and sought/made clarifications whenever needed. We were very pleased with the quality of the job and his professionalism. "
"Malik runs a very professional operation. From the time of initial phone contact with Malik (yes, he does answer his own phone) to the final post-job cleanup, this was a hassle-free project for me. Malik's crew showed up promptly each morning, and under the supervision of Malik or his equally capable foreman ("Mr. Z"), every detail of this work was performed in a skilled, highly competent and precise manner. Once begun (except for rain days), the job was continued through completion. Worth noting also is the fact that, although he was aware of my budget limitations, Malik was able to deliver a first-class job which the quality of the finished product reflects. I would enthusiastically recommend him to any Angie's List member (and will be contacting him myself for all future work on my house). "
"Alex exceeded expectations: Left a VM during this busy time and got a call within 24 hours. Truck showed up the following day and did the work. I contacted Double Tree last thinking that it would be the most costly....Turned out they were the lowest price and the only company willing to show up quickly."
"Platinum Carpentry was a pleasure to work with. Lisa is the owner and is very quick to respond to emails or telephone calls. Saul is the project manager - you can call him even on the weekends on his cell phone and he is very easy to reach. He kept me updated with what to expect every step of the way. His men laid a canvas covering on my stairs and hallway to protect the carpeting. Every time the workers left for the day, they left the place spotless. The estimate was fair and when I requested a change order, they took it in stride and were quite reasonable about the extra cost. They work to code and communicated well with the town inspector. They did a very nice job in repairing and painting my kitchen ceiling and bathroom. I would highly recommended them for any remodeling job."
"The owner was terrific. Unfortunately, workers needed supervision and because owner was supervising other projects he was not on site all of the time. They worked hard but needed constant direction. The owner did come back and fix whatever we asked. However, he really needed a on site supervisor for this crew even though it was a small job. "
"We were very satisfied with this company! They were professional, courteous and cleaned up each day before they left. They always returned our calls when we had questions. I would recommend them highly. The whole crew was great! Can't wait to get our new patio built for next spring. "
Hiring a reliable gate company starts by finding an installer with at least five years of experience in your area. This method will ensure they understand local laws and regulations and are familiar with the permitting process. You can also ask the following questions to ensure a smooth installation:
Have you worked with my gate material in the past?
Do you have customer references I can call?
Are you fully insured?
Will you pull the necessary permits for the installation?
Do you provide any kind of warranty for the gate’s functionality?
Even if you have extensive experience working with electronics or gates, we recommend leaving this repair to a local gate repair professional. Small tasks, such as battery replacement or debris removal, can be DIY projects, but more involved repairs require a pro’s skills and knowledge. Whenever wiring is involved, it’s easy to cause serious damage to your gate’s system, which can lead to bigger, more costly problems.
Electric gates can be forced open if someone applies enough force to the edge furthest from the mounting bracket. You can reduce this risk by adding an electric lock to your gate opener. However, automatic gate openers generally help deter intruders, especially when paired with outdoor lighting and security cameras. Other home security tips include trimming trees surrounding the area for added visibility and installing motion sensors in your yard.
Features include automation, intercoms, keypads, and decorative elements. Custom options enhance security and style.
If you only use your gate as a pedestrian, walking through without a vehicle, you’re fine to stick with a single fence gate. If your fence opening needs to accommodate vehicles of any kind, from cars to trucks to 4-wheelers, then a double fence gate will suit the space much better and give you more freedom.
