Steve was late for the appointment, which I overlooked because he did contact me and explained his circumstances that morning. Once at the house, Steve was very nice, but as for his work, I honestly can not say I would use Liberty Home Inspectors again. The day he inspected the home I was purchasing, I failed to get a receipt after paying him with a check, and he failed to give me one. (Both of our faults). But I then tried contacting him several times since then requesting an actual paper receipt, via email, text, and speaking directly over the phone. I requested he either mail one or email it. I still have yet to receive a receipt nearly 2 months later. The house I purchased was a Foreclosure, and the house had been winterized. Granted, there were lots of unknowns with the house (being a vacant Foreclosure, etc), but lots of things Steve said in his Inspection report, were later contradicted by what contractors I had hired for work informed me of. Too many to even list. But a more troubling part, is the simple carelessness of basic information in the Home Inspection Report I received from Liberty Home Inspectors. The house is clearly a 3 bedroom house, yet this was in my Inspection Report: 65: - BEDROOMS: Number of bedrooms: Two The house was completely winterized, along with a busted pipe under the house, and there was absolutely NO running or working water in the house during the inspection. Yet the Inspection Report says: PLUMBING TOILET 179: - The toilet was flushed and appeared to be functioning properly. PLUMBING WATER BASIN 180: - The wash basin appears to be properly installed. When operated, it was observed to be fully functional and in serviceable condition. Those are just a few quick main things I would like to point out. I can not recommend this company, nor would I use their services in the future. This Home Inspection Report was wasted money!
