"Carlos Saldana was extremly responsive to my request for bid. He had a proposal to me within a day of coming onsite to review the project. Once the proposal was approved he and his crew started the next day and completed all work within 2 days. He and is staff were clean and did not disturb my neighbors. I would hire him in the future and would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and reliable contractor."

"When He came to see the word site I just gave him an idea of what I wanted. When he came back with the design he knew exactly what I wanted. When my kitchen was done I was ecstatic he did such a great job that I hired him to do the rest of the house. He is now working on the bathroom I canâ  t wait to see the results. Another word Iâ  m very happy with his work."

"I have used Richard and Plumberry designs for two major renovations- a kitchen and master and guest baths. In both cases, Richard was able to come up with a new design layout to make the spaces more open and functional. The finishes he selected were beautiful and the process was so seamless with him project managing the contractor and deliveries. I would not hesitate to use Richard again and highly recommend them."

Start at the top of the column and secure one end of the garland to the column with a hook, nail, staple, or other fastener. Tightly wind the garland around the column until you reach the bottom. Secure the garland to the base of the column with another fastener before trimming away any excess.

How long it takes a kitchen designer to complete their work ranges greatly, from just a few hours, to a couple of weeks. Their timeline depends on how complex the design is and the scope of your kitchen remodel. Some remodels are aesthetic and can be as simple as adding new countertops or different cabinets. Those designs will take less time than, for instance, a full gut of your kitchen with a whole new layout and all new appliances.

Designers optimize space, improve aesthetics, and recommend durable, high-quality materials.

A certified kitchen designer (or CKD) is a certification given by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. These designers have completed the necessary hours of training and education to specialize in kitchens, and therefore understand the wide variety of project needs (like plumbing, electrical, appliances, and more). Most pros will make their certifications known on their website, but you can also ask during your search for a local kitchen designer.

Mid-century modern design focused primarily on two things: simple, functional furniture, often with geometric shapes, and specific color palettes that included earth tones and what we’d today call retro colors. Furniture often blended different materials, like teak or oak wood, with vinyl, metal, and glass. Common mid-century modern paint colors included browns, reds, burnt oranges, yellows, aqua greens, and whites.
