White Castle Roofing

My 17-year old roof had several leaks around the skylights and some soft spots in the deck. I requested bids from 3 companies. One did not reply. I choose White Castle for several reasons: 1. Their bid was close to the other company's. 2. They offered an extended warranty for retired military members. 3. White Castle had over 116 positive reviews on Angie's List, while the other company only had 2. 4. White Castle was offering a free $250 tablet to Angie's List members. Mike Smith, the Operations Manager came out and did a very through inspection. He recommended the skylights be replaced, the roof vent be removed and a ridgevent system be installed. He also recommended several additional soffet vents. The work was scheduled in about 3 - 4 weeks. On the day the workers arrived, it was 98F. I can imagine how hot it was on the roof. They did an outstanding job preparing and installing the new skylights and roof. The job took 2 days to complete and they did an excellent job of cleaning up. The roof looks great!! As an added bonus, the shingle manufacturer, CertainTeed, sent be a $250 gift card for Cabela's for being a veteran. My only disappointment is that I have not yet received the tablet for being an Angie's List member. I highly recommend White Castle Roofing. Mike Smith is easy to work with and the company does a first rate job.

I was pleased with White Castle. I can't really tell the quality of the work - because the part of my roof they repaired is not visible from the ground. However, they did stop the leak! They also inspected my entire roof while checking for my leak. My only issue was that the work was very delayed. With the early spring rains -- this was not good a thing. I understand that my roof was a small project in the scheme of things -- but touching base with me about the delay would have been appreciated. When I visited with the staff of White Castle, I was impressed with their friendliness and professionalism. They were apologetic for the lack of communication and the delay.

I reviewed Angie's list to find 3 contractors to get estimates on replacing my roof/gutters and installing new windows. White Castle Roofing was one of the contractors reviewed on Angie's list. I was impressed from the very first meeting when Mike Smith from White Castle Roofing gave me an estimate for the repairs of my roof and gutters. Unlike the other 2 contractors before him, he didn't ask to see the insurance claim paper work first instead he did his own measuring and calculating. Then I set up a meeting with him to discuss his bid and see how it compared to the insurance claim. Mike went over all of the details before and during the process. He was always available to answered my many questions. White Castle employees did excellent work in all areas and I would not hesitate to call them for future repairs.

They did a very job on the gutters, they even realized on the day of the install that I had picked the wrong color to go with our house. Before they installed them they suggested a different color. I agreed and they got the other color the same day and installed them. The gutters look great and work great.

We removed an old deck and needed to have siding put on where the deck was. The installer did a great job, you can't tell the siding has been there as long as the other siding on the house.

Everything went fine. They did a good job removing and repairing the roof. The complete job took less than a day and they did a good job of cleanup of the yard when they were done.

I worked with Andy Hagberg who very helpfully met with me over the Christmas vacation period to look at the property and give me an estimate. The roofing work was delayed until good weather in the spring. His crew arrived and tear off, and clean up was exceptional. In two days the roof was torn off and completely re-roofed with no complications. My tennants in the home were very impressed with how little disturbance there was. They were in and out and very professional. Excellent service.

The foreman was absolutely excellent. I had to call him back out for a few things. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They did a wonderful job, were professional and left no mess.

Excellent experience from the start. I simply texted Chad my address, I was emailed a bid, I signed it and it was picked up. I came home yesterday and found the work completed. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Great job?if it wasn't for noticing my awesome new gutters and downspouts, I would have never even known the workers had been here. Excellent installation and clean up. Thank you very much! I truly appreciate not having to have endless back and forth to get the job completed. I highly recommend this company.

Everything went well except for the ridge vent. The roofer who did the work didn't realize it wasn't just simply replacing the type and material of the ridge vent, but that the existing ridge vent was not properly cut into the roof decking (there were areas with no air gaps at all). A quick email with a picture of the problem and White Castle had us scheduled to replace the ridge vent again, this time properly opening up the gap on each side of the ridge. Everything else was great the first time and we've very happy with the end result.

Amazing. Nothing was required and we were told what to look for in the future.

The gentleman who came out to do the estimate was professional and answered all questions; the bid price was the price that we ended up paying. The gentleman who did the work was polite, professional, and answered all questions. The only hiccup was that I was given less than 24 hours notice that they would be coming out, but I'm thankful that they fit my job into the break in the February weather - time of year and all must be kept in mind. Very happy with the whole experience.

Not enough on-site supervision. During tear off, shingles and other materials dropped in landscape bushes.a hole where vent was removed was shingled over without repair. I had to call off-site supervisor to correct both problems. Had I not been watching I would still have a hole in my roof covered only with roofing felt and shingles. Better on-site supervision could have eliminated these problem. all other aspects of the job appeared to be done correctly and professionally.

First of all, the salesperson, Zach came out to give us an estimate. He was very friendly,knowledgeable and straitforward. He seemed very trustworthy which means a lot to me. We did receive several estimates from other roofing companies but White Castle was the most reasonable and the product they used was from the same manufacturer at least 1 of the other roofing companies used. Because of all the damage due to the May storm we had to wait a while to get our new roof but they tore off the old and had the new roof on in just a day. I believe it even rained that night! It's held up so far and it looks great!! Thank you! I would definitely use these guys again!

They seem to have fixed our issue, and were very responsive.

We have a restaurant in Council Bluffs housed in an older building. The roof has been patched and repaired over the years. This year's hail storms damaged the roof beyond simply patch and repair. Subsequent rains had our folks literally bailing out the store. We had contacted two other roofers prior to White Castle Roofing but they either never showed up or never gave us a repair estimate. From our initial contact with White Castle Roofing it has been a totally professional and thorough examination, estimate and repair. The entire roof and sub-roof had to be removed and replaced. The workmen were wonderful to work with and kept our manager up-to-date on all actions. This was not an easy job! We are very pleased with the finished product and the proof is we are now, thankfully, waterproof! I would definitely contract with White Castle Roofing whether it was a personal residence or commercial building. They are just that good.

Tore off 3 layers of shingles and added some new plywood. Did the roof in 1 day. WOW! They had 4 guys and worked fast and did a great job. Came back another day to put on new gutters. Took care of property when shingling. Also made sure clean up was done. We would recommend them to anyone.

Initial contact by Jake was prompt. He was helpful, knowledgeable and service-oriented. Work was done three days after initial contact. Fast and friendly service. We will make this company our go-to roofer.

What made me go with them is their prompt response to my inquiry about a bid, someone showed up the same day to look at the property. The gentleman was articulate and followed up quickly and they provided a bid that was competitive. It was a better price than a few other companies I had out. The main thing that stood out was their communication, they communicated well on when things were going to happen and how. They took care to pick up their mess and make sure there wasn’t any debris or nails that were left behind. So they did a good job of that.

After telling us they would be here on 6/13/14, they asked us to delay on 6/11/14 until 6/17/14. Then on 6/13/14 they said they would be here on 6/16/14, so there were two changes in dates with short notice of each. The workers did not show up until approximately 08:00AM, but unfortunately there was a language barrier so was hopeful that the information I provided them was understood. The roofing job was very good, and they had the whole thing done in one day. If there was one thing they could have done better was on clean up (several rubber bands, nails, pieces of drywall they cut away from the old skylight, etc. were left in the yard, roof, and driveway) although they did a good job overall. The dumpster they use to put your old roofing materials in sits in your driveway the day of the job, and until the next a.m., so make sure you have all cars you are going to use moved out of your garage beforehand. We had some difficulty dealing with our insurance on a couple of issues, but White Castle came out and took both before and after pictures to satisfy the insurance company's request and help us out with the claim. White Castle's bid was also under the bids of three other roofing companies in the Omaha area, and the roofers are all their own employees, so there is no subcontracting going on. Overall the experience was very positive one so I would give them an A- to a B+ rating.

I was not one of the lucky few getting new roof replacements from last years storm, but still needed a new roof due to age and condition. White Castle provided a very detailed estimate and included my preferred GAF shingles with a great warranty. they met the time frame I needed and did a great job on the roof. They were not high pressure on the sales process and provided me with several options to consider. They also called me to lower my quote when they determined they had miscalculated some of the materials after I had already signed the contract agreement. A few weeks after the completion of my job, extremely heavy rains washed some small leftover materials into a downspout and create a clog. After calling, White Castle was out the same day to check all downspouts and clear the clogged pipe. Overall great responsiveness and service. I would recommend them.

They were excellent. They checked everything and they were phenomenal. Their price was great and I have already given their name out to three people. I do not remember the cost of the service and I have not even paid them yet because they have already done the work except for the siding and they said, "Oh, just wait until the end." They did everything else but the siding part and they are waiting for the rain to stop because we just had storms here. I have not had issues with the service. They were wonderful. They go up and beyond. They will tell you, "Oh, I think that you have a problem with this thing or this." They did not come out and say, "Oh, you need a new roof." It was, "All it needs is this. Let us remove some insulation because you need more ventilation in your attic." They could have said, "Come, you need a new roof," and I would have agreed.
