We take a different approach to things and like our customers to have comfort, confidence and piece of mind. So unlike other contractors we don't typically ask for 50% upfront. We typically bill in 1/3's. Some jobs will require all material be paid upfront with 1/3 of the labor. So 1/3 upfront, with 1/3 paid in the middle, and the final 1/3 at the completion of the work. Furniture on Consignment was started by Rod Kush after a successful career in the National Football League with the Buffalo Bills and Houston Oilers. As the business evolved, it moved away from selling just used furniture to also carrying first quality new merchandise. In 2005, Rod also opened numerous Cash Advance locations around the Omaha and Lincoln areas. In April of 2006, the Rent-to-Own locations separated into their own stand alone company and the retail furniture business was closed. In October of 2006, 7 Day Furniture, Inc was established at the old 72nd and L Street location in Omaha more streamlined and efficient than its predecessor. As the retail trade began to grow, the rent-to-own and cash advance stores were permanently closed in 2009 and a new retail outlet was opened in Lincoln on May 15, 2009.
