Chris worked for other contractors for 7. In 20017 Chris and Katie decided to start Revertical inc. and are licenced and insured for projects valued up to $300,000. Shipping container pools last up to 25 years. On average, they’re more durable than the standard aboveground pool, which only lasts 10 to 20 years. Their durability is similar to fiberglass in-ground pools. Concrete pools, on the other hand, outlive almost any other type of pool. They can last indefinitely as long as you resurface them as needed.  

Your contractor will need several days to several weeks as far as a timeline to install your semi-inground pool goes. Adapting an aboveground pool to be semi-inground by excavating and partially burying the liner, for example, will only take three to five days, while installing an in-ground pool with a poured concrete liner and building up the land around it will require several weeks. Keep in mind that the process of hiring a pool contractor and applying for permits can add several additional weeks to the total timeline.

While often confused with an endless pool, an infinity pool features a slim outer edge to trick the eye and create the appearance that the pool blends with the sky. An endless pool, on the other hand, is a small pool with a propulsion system that allows swimmers to swim against a current. These two types of pools have similar names but very different designs.

The only pools that don’t need grounding are those without electrical components, such as small inflatable pools. Any outlet around a pool should be a GFCI to cut the current if the outlet gets too wet. At the very least, the pool’s electrical should be plugged into a GFCI outlet, if not a dedicated GFCI breaker. Check local guidelines and requirements to ensure you’re following all safety regulations. 

Setting up a pool on unlevel ground can damage the pool or yard and put the safety of those using the pool at risk. The pool liner can tear if it isn’t flat, or the walls may collapse from added pressure. If part of the pool gives in to the pressure and comes down, the swimmers inside could get hurt.
