It went well because Mr Howard was well organized, kept us informed and stayed in close contact with his crew. We liked that he made detailed contracts with there being three payments. His crew was punctual, courteous and respectful of our home. They cleaned the job site daily. They kept us up to date on their status and answered our questions readily. I have already recommended this business to a friend.

Mr. Howard responded quickly to my request regarding sudden water stains above fireplaces on two floors. They came out and did a temporary roof repair between storms until storms cleared enough for permanant repair. He even called me at 9 pm on a Friday night during a particularly bad rain storm to cofirm the temp work was effective. It was very effective. Roof damage was repaired, damage to a wood chimney extending up three floors was repaired. We ended up with a full exterior refresh and our house looks great. Work crews showed up when expected. Site was left clean daily. Crew was efficient, polite, respectful of our home and friendly. They asked on a daily basis if we were happy with the work done and quickly responded to our questions and concerns. We would hire them again.

Mathew and Edward have taken great care of my grandmother's roof. Highly professional and knowledgeable men that understood the sentimental attachments that my family has toward her house. They cleaned up after themselves and gave great advice on what needed to be done. Mathew keep me up to date through the whole process and answered all my concerns and questions. GREAT COMPANY. I will have them continue to do more work on my grandmother's house.

Very well, workers and owner of company were very polite, came to work when told they were coming. They kept us informed on everything that was being done and when the job would be completed. When job was completed, site was cleaned up and taken off, no trash left behind. Very pleased with this company.

I was looking for someone to do some small projects after buying a small cabin. I live in Florida and used Angi to find a handyman that can do the projects in a short period of time. I called A Step Above Handyman and spoke to Howard. I told him what I was looking for and the next day he and his team looked at the cabin gave me quote and started working that same day.

They always come either the day I call or within a few days. Always do a great job & are very neat. They have been doing my gutter cleaning for several years. Highly Recommend!

Had him install our floor, we have places where it’s falling apart and buckling we paid 16,000.00 for a vinyl floor we thought was engineered wood. Highly disappointed and taking him to court We found him on Angie’s list but I don’t think he claimed the job on this site with Angie

I called Mr. Howard and for the jump very respectful well spoken. Immediately knew they was right for the job by the knowledge he had when it came to doing the deck porch and roof. His workers where kind and well mannered and actually cleaned behind themselves. I don't think I had any complaints to even complain about when the job was finished. Great company great workers great experience. I already have another remodel planned and I will definitely be giving A Step Above and Mr. Howard another call.

Service was very quick and efficient, someone was at my house within minutes after my call. A piece of siding had blown off of my house during a storm and I needed it reattached ASAP. A Step Above is truly a step above. They are amazing! The work got done quickly and professionally! They were also amazing with my animals! All 4 guys met with my dogs, putting them at ease. I'm already planning my next project with them!

Although backordered tile was an issue, the job was completed satisfactorily. Mr. Howard was great to follow up and check on the progress of the project. He was very concerned about cleaning the areas worked on and pleasant to deal with.
