Price was reasonable. Showed up on time and installed the attic fan.No leaks so far. Spliced wires to the fan from a light circuit which I thought was strange.

I bought a Roof Inspection and Tune Up thru Angie's List. Mr Howard called me to set up the appointment promptly. He found several issues which were not unexpected. He worked with me to set up the schedule for the repairs to be done around my work schedule. He and his workers were friendly and polite; they treated my home and I with respect.

After successfully using Howard & Sons for a roof inspection on my home, I purchased a second inspection package for my sister's house in Watervliet, NY. I knew the main roof on her home would probably be ok because it was replaced less than 10 years ago, but I was concerned about a flat roof section she had on the back of her house. Matt's team arrived and did a thorough inspection of the entire roof. As I envisioned, the main roof was in fine shape, but the flat roof was in much worse shape than we anticipated. Apparently, the rubber roof installed 8 - 10 years ago was not installed properly and a significant portion of the wood and wood frames underneath were completely rotted out due to water leaks. I was originally hoping that the rubber roof would just need to be resealed, but unfortunately much of the wood frame had to be taken out and replaced.We worked with Matt and arrived at a price which I believe was fair. His team spent nearly two full days framing, then shingling the roof. They also put the gutters back on the house. Had we not done this inspection and had the roof and rotten beams replaced, larger problems might have occurred. Given the fact that a tough winter is forcasted, in all likelihood, any sizeable snow accumulation could have caused that old roof to collapse. The cost incurred is worth the peace of mind knowing my sister's complete roof is now in fine condition. Matt and his team were professional and courteous. Another important note, after they left, my sister's yard was immaculate. They picked up ever bit of rotten wood beams, old shingles and rubber roofing materials.

I was extremely satisfied with Howard & Sons. We've been in the house for twelve years and are not sure how old the roof really is. I called for the $149 inspection because I had a leak in my garage roof, but couldn't understand why because the ropof itself looked good. Howard & Sons showed up promptly and immediately had three roofers inspect everything. They found the immediate problem over the garage with the rubber sealing on the vent. Because it was an odd sized pipe, they had to go and purchase the rubber boot. It looked like a squirrel had chewed at it, probably trying to get in the attic. They inspected the other vents on the roof and let me know that there were no immediate problems but that I maight want to have the seals replaced on them -- but there was no pressure. I chose to do so given the age of the roof and the fact that it would have cost a lot more to get it fixed at a later date. I fully expected that any roofer would give me the line --"you need a new roof". Matt estimated that we should get another four to five years out of our roof, which was great news for me. Matt is very professional, knowledeable and honest. He does not try to do work that is not needed. His guys are very courteous and polite. I would not hesitate to call them again.

I think it was owner who came with the other two but I felt like he was kind of pushy. My husband was the one who made the deal on line and stayed home that day they came out. When he came over that day he said that he was going to do what was on the package and he said something about like he was going to do other things and that it was going to be $300. Then I said that it was something I need to talk to my husband about. Then he said that they were already doing it so I felt that he was not giving us a chance not to want that service. He was making it sound like making us feel bad like he would lose the money if I did not want to pay him. It was not professional. Beside the package he charged me $300. I did not quite see what else they did. It was something in the roof and they were not here for more than 35 minutes. Some moss was falling down and they were cleaning all that. I told him that my husband was in a meeting right then and I needed to talk to him about the extra work he was planning to do. Then he said that they were already doing that and that I could pay him if I want or that he would lose the money. My husband left the meeting and came home early and I told him that he needed to pay Howard $300 for the services he provided and that I am not exactly sure what the service was.

I purchased a big deal from them. They came over the next day but we decided I did not need the work done.

I wasn't here at the time but my husband said everything went well. Husband was worried bec we were cleaning for company and he thought there would be a mess but that did not happen. Everything was cleaned up by the workers. I was amazed that extra work was done without charge. Mr Howard saw some things that needed attention and he proceeded to fix them. This will save us time, energy, cost and headaches. Mr Howard called about 5 days later to see if everything was going smoothly. I was concerned bec I did not feel any air moving. He told me to open the door to the attic and I would notice air movement. I did and he was correct. I also inquired about his remodeling services which sounded extensive. I will definitely keep his card and consult Howard and Sons if the need present.

I had some roof repairs that needed to be done rather quickly. I purchased the coupon late in the day 8/2/13. Matt called me the following morning, & had his crew here working that same afternoon. The crew was very friendly & courteous. My next-door neighbors were particularly impressed with their work ethic. I've also received several compliments from others on the appearance of my roof. I would highly recommend Howard & Sons & would certainly call them again.

Matt Howard called to schedule an appointment on the very next day after purchase. Contractor was timely (a little early actually) and did the inspection, specified maintenance (caulking, etc.) and evaluation of my roof as detailed in my purchase. I knew i needed additional work completed (some roofing shingles needed replacement) and work was completed quickly and to my satisfaction that same day. Matt Howard also provided a one-year warranty on work provided which was unexpected. Would use again.

They were very efficient and came out on time. They were very professional. I thought their prices were fair and I am pleased with them and I would certainly use them again.

They did a super job. They were on time, explained what they were doing when I asked questions. They did what they said they would at a great price , in a timely fashion and they left the area around the garage and my driveway cleaner than it was before they started. Great job Howard and crew!

After calling multiple other companies with positive reviews on Angies list, I had not received a call back and or was unable to find a company willing to do slate roof repair. When I called Matt Howard, he called me back the same day and came over that evening to assess the roof damage and provide an estimate for the repair work. The work was done 2 days later, on time, efficiently, as scheduled. His crew was courteous, acted professionally, and did the complete job as he described it would be done. Matt went over multiple repair options with my wife and I. He utilized slate that we had salvaged from prior roof repair work, helping reduce our cost. Overall, the experience with Matt and his crew was excellent and I absolutely will call him in the future when more repair work is necessary. (the nature of slate roofs!)

I hired Howard and Sons to build a deck for me. Matt and his team were great workers and offered competitive pricing. The overall project came out great and was completed in less than a weeks time. I would highly recommend them as they completed the deck on budget - as quoted, and did a great job. Matt is very responsive and always answered my phone calls regardless of time of day. It is a huge benefit in any project to be able to call the business owner and always get an answer. I would bet that not many other companies are like that. They were very open to working with me even as I changed little design features in the middle of the project. His company is able to do a full turnkey project, but in my case I chose to purchase materials myself.

The overall work from estimate to finish was smooth, professional and worth every cent I spent.

I was in need of someone doing my roof for me and happen to be on the Albany craigslist and came across a business named Howard and Son's Roofing and Remodeling. I called and spoke with Matt Sr. I set up an appointment for him to come over and give me an estimate to have the roof replaced. Surprisingly he set up the appointment for the next day which was impressive to me. He came went through everything thoroughly with me and left me the estimate that it would cost. I was kind of leary of the price but after having other companies give me an estimate, although Mr. Howards was a little higher, he was the most honest and didn't try to take advantage of the fact he was dealing with a woman and he didn't try selling me any BS. I called him back and advised him he had the job. Within a week his crew and himself showed up and started the job. He even told me that I only had to put half down and the rest when the job was finished. I was so impressed that every day they cleaned up after themself and left no garbage or trash or anything behind. They also had my roof done within a few days. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anybody that asked me and I will hire him when i have work done on the inside of the house.

I had a huge number of shingles blew off from my roof due to heavy winds from a storm.Mr Howard gave me an estimate and suggested that I do a permanent fix rather than repairs. Because his price was reasonable, I decided to go with his suggestion.The workers were on time. The project was completed within the scheduled time. The clean up was very good.

Mr Howard from Howard and Sons came out and accessed my property. He took the time to explain everything that was in need of repair and walked me through what was going to be done. He was very patient and professional as I am a first time home buyer and I had a lot of questions. He did not try to force me to have things repaired that didn't need to be repaired. When they came to repair my roof, they always were on time and diligently cleaned up every night which I appreciated because I have small children and a dog that goes out in the yard. Because of these reasons, I had Howard and Sons also remodel my bathroom which was just completed this past week. I would highly recommend this company to any homeowner. I was completely satisfied with their work. Going forward, Howard and Sons is the only contractor I would trust.
