*IMPORTANT READ* I generally do not post reviews for companies unless the experience was so negative that I feel as it is unethical not to warn other potential clients. Here is my experience with Howard & Sons - also known as RENO-READY. I hired this company back in November to finish installing flooring throughout my home. They came during a holiday weekend and got the job done. The workmanship was not the greatest but it was a rush job so I let it go. I later decided to give them another chance when doing a remodel in December/January. The guys came out, quoted the job, started the rip out and then stated that they underbid the job and it was going to be more than expected. Although I was upset, I agreed because my house was in shambles and I just wanted it done. Along the way, they kept finding more and more issues that "Had to be fixed". My initial project of $10,000 budget ended up being almost $35,000 by the time they were done. I paid them in full and was told I would get a receipt emailed to me with my warranty information - I have asked repeatedly for it and they continue to not provide it. This house went on the market and the warranty is part of the sale of the home (5-year roof warranty). I had them install new tile showers in both bathrooms - both of which developed cracks in the grout before the first week. They installed the shower tiles incorrectly so they do not sit level/flush and the bar codes are visible. The master shower pan was not angled properly so the water just piled up in the corner - I had to get them to come out and fix that. The flooring has several weak spots, the transition strips were not installed properly, the light fixture was placed upside down, the bathroom mirror is 12" lower than it should be, the kitchen sink was leaking due to not being installed properly. Effectively speaking - everything this company did for me was done with the worst workmanship I have ever witnessed. Although, I like the crew and speaking to them you would believe that they are experienced - I DO NOT recommend you hire them for any work you need done. Even the owners stated that the work they did here was "rookie quality" and that he "doesn't expect to hear from me again for my upcoming projects". The main owner, Matt Howard, was my main point of contact until there were issues. At that point, he was reluctant to talk to me and pushed me off on his son. The two of them blamed all of the issues on their cousin who owns Reno-Ready. Matt Sr stated that he believes the reason I have all the issues I do is because his business partner "sabotaged him" and purposefully caused issues at my home to cost the company more money in repairs. As a sign of good faith, after splitting ways with Reno-Ready, Matthew Jr did come out and attempt to correct the issues I had. I allowed him to fix certain things, however since the house is already under contract, I do not trust them enough to go through all the repairs. As a business owner, I am reluctant to leave a negative review on another business. However, as a consumer, I feel as though it is necessary to warn others of the potentially costly repairs that come from hiring a company with such low grade workmanship. If you are looking for poor quality at a decent price - this is your company. If you are looking for good quality, search elsewhere.

They did such a great job on our roof that we called them back when we needed more work done. Quick and efficient which is a breath of fresh air. Professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

I was shown the before & after pictures of their work and I was very impressed. It took them about an hour to complete the work. The workers were very friendly and explained what they. I plan on hiring them again in the future!

Did not finish work and the roof was Installed incorrectly.Had another roofing contractor look at it and he said was a bad job.

The ceiling is up. It took many phone calls to have them come and even start the project. Cancelled several times during the process. Had to call to see if they were going to show up. When the ceiling was being taken down damage was done to a windowsill and chair rail. Said ,"He ordered chair rail."But never heard back it's been 3 weeks. Tapping job was awful and sanding was not done well enough so we could paint. Had to popcorn ceiling to cover the bad tap job . Ceiling fan was wired wrong and a cpl blade were damaged. So needless to say we had to fix their mistakes and put more money into the job.

Cases of goo used to seal...what? Areas in question were never discussed or described. When my dormers were redone, the provider pointed out the bulbous globs of sealant that they had applied, often separating my roof tiles; certainly lifting them. I have had water issues ever since. Clearly, they didn't know what they were doing. And, as a result, caused more harm than good. I tried to remedy this; or, at least start with a phone call to better understand what their intent was. I had no response; and, no corrections were ever suggested.

Arrived on time. Nice, reasonably professional although we got a bit more life story than I would have liked. Did a good job on the gutters both times. Left a little more of a mess on the grass than I would have liked, but the gutters were full of mud so it was hard for them to avoid doing this.

They were reliable, showed up on time, and did the work to perfection. What more need be said? I will be having them do it again this year after the leaves fall.

They installed the roof fan. It was fine. It took about an hour to do. Scheduling went smoothly -- no issues.

So far so good waiting for rain to be sure

Have tried to schedule an appointment for gutter cleaning with company. No response after online request. Called several times, with the last time being 7/9/14. Owner did call back twice and left messages with me, but I was unable to reach him when I tried to call him back. No voicemail option available with last call. (He did state that he has been having a lot of medical issues lately on his last message).

Everything went well. I liked that they inspected the roof as they cleaned my gutters, and that they were honest enough to tell me that I didn't need a new roof just yet.

They started the work on Thursday and worked Friday. The work is half done and now they have not shown up in three days. I have called them and they do not answer. They did show up on Tuesday however, and completed the job today (Wednesday). When talking with the contractor, it turned out that he'd been sick for a few days.

Non-Responsive after buying Angie's List "$99 Home Gutter Cleaning and Roof Inspection" I signed up for this deal on this website and selected 3 dates as required. I got a very generic email asking for dates within couple of days which didn't make sense since I already indicated what dates I wanted. Anyway, I replied to chose on of the dates in my purchase and there was no response. Waited for a week and sent a reminder message, no reply. Waited for a month and sent another reminder message, no reply. I am appalled at the lack of non-responsiveness especially since I bought this from the peer reviewed Angie's site. See below the dates of communication: Order Number: 11241XX Ordered On: February 27, 2014 Coupon Code: Gutter-1124151-1 3/2/2014 - Generic email from "Howard And Sons Roofing & Remodeling" 4/10/2014 - Replied - Angie's list message and left a voice mail as well 4/16/2014 - Follow-up email, no response 5/13/2014 - Third follow-up email, no response for more than a week 5/17/2014 - Called and left a second voice mail I am uncomfortable with this lack of professionalism for this work as well as future work. Update: I finally managed to connect with the owner who said he had hospitalized and will send someone to perform the work the following Saturday. I spoke to his wife or assistant who took the address and confirmed someone will come that Saturday at 10 am. No one showed up and there was no further communication.
