Marc from MI Electric came out and installed landscaping lights. There was an additional $180 charge to drill through my brick walls to install the outdoor plug and transformer. But the lights look very nice. There was a hiccup in that they quit working after a day, most likely a transformer defect. But Marc came out and took care of that and a few installation issues personally, and now everything looks amazing. I hired him to install additional lights for the driveway and back porch, and now our house is lit up very nicely and professionally. I needed a new breaker installed in my main J-Box and he was kind enough to do that for no additional charge! Marc is a great guy and I'd recommend him for any electrical work needed!

These guys were great. I had three different electricians quote out some work for us. They were the only ones that answered the phones, called me back to confirm the appointment, and showed up. The other two scheduled times but never showed or called us. The work was top notch, completed quickly, and was really reasonably priced and i would highly recommend you use them if you need good electricians that are going to get the job done quickly and for a fair price.

Overall, my experience with MI Electric, from Ian's first visit until the job was complete, was outstanding. I consider the price of the job to be very reasonable. I am very satisfied and would definitely use them again. I would also recommend them to my friends and acquaintances.

John and Josh were polite and competent. Third new GFI and this is first time I think the job was done right and completely sealed unit. New outlet in attic was done properly. Called before they came. Came when they said they would. Price seemed reasonable.

Ian gave us a quote from the very beginning. He was prompt and professional. It turned out to be a difficult job due to the location of the wall mount but he did a great job. The cost was as quoted and very fair. They will be returning to do some outside wiring work. We intend to use them for any future electrical needs.

They performed the upgrade as promised and explained the work that was being done. The Angie's List offer that I referenced in the initial call had expired and they still honored the discounted price. The service technician was on time and informative about what he would be doing. He told me that since my meter and outside panel had recently be replaced, he would not need to replace it again and discounted the price to reflect that. They also finished about an hour earlier than they promised. Overall,I was very satisfied with the experience with MI.

Ian contacted me to schedule a site review and installation date within two hours of purchasing the Big Deal. When he came out we discussed adding the generator transfer switch. No problems there -- very personable and professional. On the installation date the installer did not show up at the scheduled time, so I had to call Ian to ensure that the installation had not been canceled. The installer showed up a short time later; not an issue. It took the entire day to install the panel. I think the installation took longer than expected because the installer seemed quite rushed when he was finishing up. I was a little disappointed that he didn't take the time to explain to me how the generator or built-in surge suppressor worked. In the days following we discovered that they clothes dryer was not working properly. We placed a service call on the dryer to find out that the circuit breaker for the dryer had not been installed properly. I left two messages for Ian requesting a call back that went unanswered. On the third attempt I called the alternate number and Mark assisted me. Mark immediately dispatched one of their other technicians that lived near me to investigate the issue. He was very prompt and quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem. We've had no issues with the panel since, although we have never had need to use the generator transfer switch.

Mike and Ian are top notch. Very professional and responsive. Arrived on schedule - it took all day but they told me it would. The electrician who did most of the work was a young guy who got a little agitated with some of the quirks of my old box (my house is 80+ years old and the box was last updated probably in the 80's) but he was polite and eventually got everything taken care of. I'm just really pleased with the outcome and so glad I took advantage of this offer. They include a whole house surge protector and since they installed the new box, my power has gone off a couple of times - - but I don't worry that any of my appliances will be damaged. Great peace of mind. Will definitely use MI Electric in the future.

After interviewing five firms, we selected Ian Tavella of MI Electric and are very pleased that we did so. From initial contact through completion, MI was timely, thorough, responsive and professional in meeting all of our requirements. Ian's promptness was greatly appreciated, as well as, their very fair pricing. There were no surprises in what they needed to do. I will use MI for any future electrical additional electrical needs. We just wish they could do plumbing and windows and that every Charlotte company operated as they did!

Prompt, professional service from start to finish. Called and spoke with Ian about the advertised deal and also asked for a quote on a ceiling fan installation - scheduled the work to be done a few days later. Scott arrived on time and was very helpful with advice on placement 30301 recessed lighting in the dining area. We also decided to install a recessed light in an interior bathroom that was very dark (no window) - this was a last minute decision, so called Ian to confirm, he was very acommodating about the additional request and dropped by with the extra supplies and looked after me on the price! I had not confirmed the ceiling fan installation at the time of scheduling, but it was no problem, they had anticipated this and were ready to do the job anyway. There were no existing electrics for the ceiling fan so, Scott installed the fan 'from scratch' - with a dimmer switch for the lights. The work was carried out with very little disruption or mess. Scott also looked at a dodgy light switch and fixed the loose wiring. The finished results are great - very happy. We will definietly call MI again for our electrical needs. Thanks MI,

Marc and Ian were FANTASTIC to work with and really know their trade well. We live in a home built in 1939 and have worked with a number of electricians over the years. None of them have been as knowledgeable or professional as MI Electric. I simply cannot recommend this company enough and, after 10 years of looking, we have finally found our "go to" electricians. From the beginning of our project to the end, Marc and Ian were punctual, efficient and truly nice guys to work with. They were willing to do whatever it took in order to get the job done right, even if that meant working on Saturday or in the evening. They also made several suggestions which saved us money and made more sense than our own lighting ideas. TRUE PROS FROM BEGINNING TO END!!!!!!

MI - gave a quote. Set up appointment with MI - Mi called to let us know arrival time. Was punctual. Came in did the trouble shooting - found problem areas, replaced burnt parts with new parts. Completed job and came in under the quote. Discussed and quoted future job for adding additional lighting, in floor plugs, wall plugs and more. We are really happy for MI to be in our area. The company is bonded, insured and with licensed electrician. We checked Angies list first for reliable workmenship, BBB, too. We got what our reseach told us we would fine. I plan to use MI again for several more jobs. I found no Don'ts with the MI Company.

They did some rewiring on outside, as well as running wire to our pier. They are very good at what they do. The owners come out themselves. They will provide options and you can determine what to do, if anything.
