"Is there a star above 5. Kevin and his team was very professional and excellence customer service. 6 large rooms to include closets and hallways. Team was in and out. I have experience many flooring and carpet companies in the past. Only I wish I would have know about Pro Carpet. Again Thanks Kevin and Team. From Lee and Lillie"

"Connor's Flooring wasn't the first company I checked with for my job. The original company gave me quote, but the lady who handled the transaction kept playing phone tag with me so I contacted Connor's Flooring. I got an immediate response that same day and Mr. Conner arranged to check my hallway as soon as he finished up the project he was working on that day. He came out and his offer beat the previous offer by $100. We agreed he would start on Monday morning at 8AM, however he had vehicle issues, but called prior to the arranged time, which is very rare for most contractors. He arrived at approximately 9AM and Mr. Conner and associate had the flooring and quarter round installed by 11:30AM. The hallway looks great and my wife and I are very pleased with the service we received."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

You may get better coverage painting your baseboards if you do so before carpet is installed. The best course of action may be to attempt to paint them between having the old floor removed and the new floor laid, though this will render the room unusable for a period of time and may make the entire project a bit slower overall.

Installing carpet tile takes a pro a few hours per room, while experienced DIYers may take a little longer. However, that does not factor in the time needed to remove the old carpet. Also, if there are issues with the subfloor, fixing it will add to the overall time it takes to complete the installation.

While not always required, experts recommend removing baseboards before removing old carpet and installing a new one. This practice leads to a smoother process and a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. Removing the baseboards allows for a seamless carpet installation without the risk of damaging either the carpet or the trim. It also provides a good opportunity to repaint or stain the baseboards and inspect the underlying wall for any issues. If you prefer a quicker option, you can carefully cut the old carpet along the edge of the baseboards, but this may result in a less polished installation for the new carpet.

Yes, installing laminate over carpet could negatively affect the resale value of your home. It’s no surprise that homebuyers prefer flooring that someone has installed according to industry standards. Laminate over carpet may raise concerns about the quality and stability of the flooring, impacting the overall perceived value of the property.

Avoid plush, high-pile, or thick carpets on your stairs because they can increase the risk of slipping and wear down quickly in busy homes. Also, ensure the carpet you install is stain-resistant, particularly if you select a light color.
