He did a horrible job. The chimney siding and molding was rotten, when he took off the siding and molding the 2x4 framing of the chimney was also rotten the molding and siding was fixed but not the framing. He covered the rotten wood with new siding and molding. Painted but didn't mask the siding when he painted the molding white. There are spilt paint drops and places where workers had wiped their fingers on the deck hand rail. Nails in the deck handrail were bent over rather than driven completely into the wood. The flaking paint on molding around the front bedroom window was repainted but he also spilt paint on the brick there, and left the window screen on grass in the front yard. The contractor came this afternoon and raked some of their mess into your trash can, but left a paint bucket, scrap wood, and insulation in the yard and a sawdust pile on the deck. The tennant also reported that one of the workers defecated behind the back shed. They checked on the work daily, and continuously asked if there was more that they could do to help. They were clean, courteous, and extremely efficient and helpful- I couldn't have asked for more. Mold Testing And Remediation reviews from real Angi homeowners in Carthage, NC
Expensive ($1,450,00). About 20% more expensive than other estimate but they could do the work in a reasonable time (because they stated they had the backhoe in the neighborhood) . Responsive if you need a sewer line connection to city services with some urgency (next two or three weeks)....

"Lesson learned. Always get an estimate. BEFORE the work is done. At least a digital copy. Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."

When you have mold, making the correct decisions right away is critical. Whether it is mold in your home, school, place of work, or apartment there are many factors to consider. Are you going to be involved in a mold lawsuit? Will you be seeking property damages? Is anyone sick from mold exposure? Will you be seeking medical damages? Will you need expert witnesses? If so, what kind? Do you just want to test to be sure your environment is safe? Do you need post mold remediation testing to ensure a good job was done? These and other factors are questions which need to be answered before any environmental testing starts. It is important to know what your goals are and why your testing. Different goals require different environmental tests, i.e. medical damages and property damages require different environmental tests to prove your case in court. Tests that a common, or inexperienced, mold inspector would not typically use or know to use.

"They came rather quicklyâ ¦. Worked under the house when it was raining and pouring outside and finished the job in one day. The price they quoted was a fraction of the cost than 2 other companies I had got quotes from. Aaron was always courteous and answered any questions I had. They are not going to do unnecessary work and will not break the bank. I highly recommend and would hire them again"

FAQs for mold testing and remediation projects in Carthage, NC
Some states require mold removal specialists to be licensed, while others require licensed mold testing companies to create remediation protocols that any contractor can carry out. You can use our state licensing tool to find requirements in your area. In either case, it’s imperative that you hire an experienced professional for mold removal to ensure the safety of your home and your family.
It’s possible to scrub mold off of visible surfaces yourself, but it’s not usually a good idea. Mold is not only a potential health risk, but it’s also difficult to treat in its entirety, especially because it can grow behind walls and in other hidden areas a DIYer might miss. Since mold is a serious and often pervasive issue, you should hire a professional that will remove all of the mold—including any that might be hidden—run industrial air scrubbers to remove airborne particles, and complete mold testing to ensure the underlying problem is solved.
The most effective way to remove mold includes testing affected surfaces and the air for spores, creating a protocol for removal, carrying out the steps within the protocol, running air scrubbers for the recommended amount of time, and then completing a post-remediation round of testing to confirm the issue is solved. Since this work is very involved and there are health risks if done incorrectly, you should always hire an experienced professional to handle mold removal.
The average cost for mold remediation is around $2,200, and most projects fall somewhere between $1,100 and $3,300. Your total will depend on many factors, including the surface area that is affected by mold, the extent of the issue, how much building material your professional needs to replace, whether or not testing is necessary for safety reasons, and existing indoor air quality.
Mold removal will take between one and five days in most cases, but severe mold issues can take several weeks to correct. Your timeline will depend on how much mold there is in your home, where the mold is located, and how much testing and aftercare is required. If you have mold behind your walls or you have an excessive amount of mold that requires removal and running air scrubbers for several days, you could be looking at over a week for the process to be completed.
