I'd like to tell you a little about Comet Air Duct Cleaning and how we originated.\nHi, my name is Gary Harstad and I am President of GD Construction Inc. I have been a general contractor for over 30 years building homes from the footings to the shingles, and everything in between. I know a thing or two about the construction industry.\nWe did a lot of research and found RamAir to be the safest and most effective duct cleaning system out there. With my many years in the construction industry, I knew the 2 major factors in cleaning heating and cooling vent systems would be: #1-Getting deep into the system. #2- Getting the debris out, And with Comet we do a better job much faster resulting in better prices.\nPlease check out our websites for further information! \nwww.airductcleaningbozemanmt.com\nwww.airductcleaningsheridan.com\nwww.airductcleaningbillingsmt.com

"Ordering was a breeze and Frontpoint gave me a call to make sure what I ordered was the best package for me.  We actually went through it all and figured out I needed to swap a couple of items for different ones. They did the swap at no extra cost to me and I had the system in my hands a few days later.
It took about 15-20 minutes to get everything set up and another 20 minutes or so on the phone to get it activated.  It couldn't have been easier.  We worked the system in "test mode" for a couple days to get used to all the ins and outs and we brought it up "live" without any issues.
We had subscribed to the most basic package and they gave us 30 days of the middle package for free, which includes remote and mobile monitoring, arming/disarming, the ability to label sensors, and their "crash and smash" protection.  After a week or so, we called back and subscribed to that package for good ($8/m extra but well worth it).
We love the system, plain and simple.  It's easy to arm/disarm and we feel safe knowing that it all works.  We know it works because I forgot to remotely disarm it for contractors doing work on our home one morning.  They called me and told me my alarm was going off and they couldn't even stay in the house because it was so loud.  I received a call from Frontpoint 30 seconds later asking me for my code and password and asking me if I was alright.  I was able to remotely disarm it in the meantime and they said they saw that.  It's great to know everything works like it's supposed to.
I love the system because it's easy self-install, it's easy to add or remove sensors (that takes a phone call, but it's easy), it's nice to be able to see everything remotely and control it all while I'm away, they have excellent customer service, and their response time is perfect.
If I had to list something negative, I would say the pieces by themselves are a little pricey.  Door/window sensors are $33, motion sensors are $65, and if you want to go to outside cameras, they're $400 each.  Small price to pay for safety?  Maybe.  However, I know I was unable to buy anything past the initial package on the first go-around and had to piece the rest together as time went on.
I will continue to build my home security system through Frontpoint and I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.  No hardwired installation, no relying on phone lines (this works through cellular), and no bringing the company in to "consult" your wallet clean.
Absolutely great system and service.

"“This project was cleaning our dryer vent, which had not been cleaned for 8 years. They did an excellent job cleaning the vent, cleaning up around the dryer and installing a new attachment from the dryer to the wall. They also needed to prune some branches from a large bush near the outside vent, which they did and they hauled the branches away for us. They were professional, prompt and efficient throughout. Two very friendly and knowledgeable guys, who were even willing to help out with a small deck project. I highly recommend their work and their customer service is fantastic! ”"

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It is possible to build your own deck, but it’s typically better to leave the work to a decking professional. Decks can be exceptionally complicated, especially if you want a wrap-around or second-story deck, and you don’t want to risk making an expensive or dangerous mistake. It’s usually better to hire a decking pro who can pull permits and build a structurally sound deck that will last for decades and provide the maximum return on investment.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

In many areas, a floating deck that isn’t connected to your home and stays under 200 square feet and below 30 inches in height may not need a permit. These freestanding structures are often considered low-risk, which can simplify the building process. However, building codes vary greatly based on location. Before investing in any home improvement project, check with your local permitting office for deck-building guidelines.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.

Your deck may look or feel fuzzy after pressure washing because the high-pressure spray tears some wood fibers as it removes the outer layer of dead and discolored wood. This fuzzy effect is a normal part of the pressure-washing process and will go away on its own in a few weeks. You can opt to spot-sand your deck if you’d like to remove it more quickly.
