"You could not ask for a more honest hard working service than Adam at Griz Air. Obviously he has an extensive knowledge in furnace and hot water heat. His pricing is reasonable."
"Patriot Plumbing will be the go to company for all my future projects. Iâ  m so happy I found a prompt, quality and friendly plumber. Greg answered all my questions thoroughly."
"Jim is local. It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job. He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary. For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer, Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area. If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim. I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services. "
"I have used the company several times. They are up front with an estimate that they stick too. They arrive when they say they will and even give you a notice by phone when they are a few minutes away. No problems with their work at all. Today I called them and they came out. It was more of a 'boiler issue' to which I was referred to a company specializing in boilers. I wasn't charged a dime, even with him quick fixing a leaky shut off valve. Most places would have at least charged me for a minimal service charge just for showing up. They do business the old fashioned way and they will be my plumbing people from now on."
Scale from hard water is hard to diagnose until it starts causing problems. If your area has particularly hard water, that’s most likely what your boiler is using. If scale build-up becomes a problem, it starts to cause decreased flow and heating, and eventually, valve failures as valves become blocked. Let boiler professionals know if you’re worried about scale and they can offer advice or implement a solution.
Oil boilers provide reliable heating, efficiency, and long-term cost savings compared to electric options.
Unless they are connected to the same system, boilers and water heaters will both need their own expansion tanks. The only case they wouldn’t have separate expansion tanks is if the boiler is pulling double duty and managing a heating system while also supplying hot water for a home. In which case, you may not need a hot water heater.
DIY is not recommended due to safety risks and technical expertise required. Hire licensed professionals.
The right type of HVAC system will depend on several factors, including your climate, budget, preferences, and existing HVAC setup. For example, if you live in an area that experiences extreme weather, then a split system would likely be the best option. Or, if budget is a concern, consider installing a ductless system in just one room.
