"Fantastic. Had them improve and rebuild a porch out of Trex. They probably over-engineered the job at a competitive price. They got me in quickly and finished in two days. I can't tell you how rare it is for a contractor to keep commitments in Missoula. Easy to work with, would not hesitate to use them again or recommend."

We are a full service window coverings company, including cellular shades, wood blinds, shutters, sun screens, natural shades, awnings, and any other window coverings you may need.

"It was EASY! From measuring to installation it was a great experience. I was given great advise, I took Patrick's suggestions/ recommendations and I am very happy with the results. I have large windows in the living room(57"x72') and the drapes always covered up the heater/AC vents so the room was uncomfortable (always). So cellular shades were recommended that fit inside the window frame. Patrick recommended a neutral color that matched the stone in the fireplace, regal toupe i believe and it looks amazing. We now have privacy in that room that the drapes never gave, the color looks great and the room is now more comfortable. I am assuming that the gas bill will go down too now that the vents are cleared and by the cellular design of the shades. I will absolutely be using blindside again to finish every window in the house as I can afford to do so. Blindside was amazing on service, accommodating my schedule, and gave me the best price and options. I LOVE the cordless option, just push the button and pull down to close or push the button and pull up to open. Nothing for the cat to wreck!"

Classic Copper Works uses time honored German copper smith techniques handed down from father to son and passed on to our highly skilled artisans. We specialize in the fabrication of custom copper & bronze products and other metal specialties. WE DO NOT OFFER REPAIR SERVICES OF ANY KIND. Additional phone number - (888) 908-5339.

"Ordered and paid for custom awning that was to take 5 weeks. Its now been 16 weeks and still waiting. Owner is at best noncommunicable and at worst, rude. I'm now wondering if this is a scam and not a real business."

Awnings questions, answered by experts

Metal awnings last much longer than fabric thanks to their durability and resistance to fading, sun damage, and damage from the outside elements. They also need less maintenance than fabric options. Both items add curb appeal to your home, but you shouldn't expect either type of awning to add property value to your home.

To make sure the installation process goes smoothly, try asking your pro the following questions:

  • Do you have insurance and a professional license to do the job? Installing a metal or canvas awning into a home’s exterior can be tricky, so ask your pro if they have the correct licensing and insurance to do the work.

  • What was the price of similar jobs in the past? Awning installation costs will vary depending on size, design, location, and other factors. Ask this question to get a feel for the average price range for jobs similar to yours.

  • How long will this project take to complete? Installing an awning is typically not too time-consuming, but hurdles can always present themselves. Gathering an estimated timeline could give you some peace of mind.

  • Will I need to get a building permit? Your local contractor will be well-versed in rules and regulations regarding building permits and other requirements to bring a project up to code. A seasoned pro will be able to furnish this information when discussing the quote.

  • Do you have any references from previous clients? A competent pro should readily hand out contact information for previous clients. Email or call these clients to hear about their overall experience.

The longest-lasting awning materials include vinyl, polycarbonate, and polyester for their durability and cleanability. Other materials like canvas and metal can last a long time, but may wear out faster. The key to getting the longest life from your awning material is to maintain it properly by cleaning yearly, keeping debris from gathering on it, and protecting it during stormy weather or high winds by retracting it or moving it to a protected area.

The average cost to build a pergola ranges from $2,200 to $6,400, whereas the average cost of an awning ranges from $1,400 to $4,400, meaning that an awning tends to be less expensive to build or install than a pergola. Ultimately, the less expensive option depends on a few factors, including size, quality of materials used, and location.

Yes, most awnings include warranties for materials and installation. Confirm terms before purchasing.
