"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."

Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. "I used Precision Glass and Tile on two projects so far and have scheduled several more projects to be completed in the near future. The two projects were exterior and interior masonry. Both projects required using proper technical methods and artistry. My wife and I are very pleased with the results. A retired mason I know reviewed the work and agreed that is was well done. The scheduled work is to install porcelain flooring and several bathroom showers. The bathrooms will incorporate wall tile and tempered glass. "Dave is reliable. He returns texts and shows up on time which is more than many others. However, he is VERY EXPENSIVE. I supplied the materials. It took him 2.5 hours to complete the job and the charge was $300 to stain the trim on the new sliding glass doors. That's $120/hour. The job was okay. He forgot to stain the top of the trim across the doors and had to be told he'd forgotten it. Also, there was stain left on the glass and metal edges which he told me I could get off with windex. For his prices, he should have cleaned it off himself. I will not be using him in the future."
