Yes, concrete resurfacing is the same as concrete overlay. Concrete resurfacing or a concrete overlay is when you apply a thin layer of pre-blended concrete over an existing concrete slab. It enhances the durability and appearance of the concrete. Resurfacing or applying a concrete overlay costs far less than replacing concrete. You can stamp an overlay of concrete to create a specific look or color. Concrete resurfacing is also called concrete restoration, concrete refinishing, or concrete rejuvenation.

Polished concrete gets its glass-like finish from several rounds of polishing, using increasingly finer grit diamond grinding pads.
