I'm married to the best lady i know she and I have 41 years together 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I retired a couple years ago from a 30 year job in the transportation industry and I just don't want to set around or fish every day and n I've always been DIY kind of person so I started this as a side hustle I enjoy doing things with my hands and the accomplishment is a great feeling when I get finished up with a project . I have a fella thats helping now if needed depending on the project needs of course but I'm not afraid to dig in and get dirty small jobs or bigger jobs work if I can't do your project correctly I will let you know and give you the opportunity to find the correct person for your needs I believe in customer satisfaction and i will respect your property like it is my own . I believe in honesty and integrity to be shown from everyone involved in the project at hand . Thanks for the opportunity to introduce myself look forward to working with you soon.

Mailbox Repair questions, answered by experts

Fixing a drawer that is sticky, askew, or broken depends on the specific problem. Start by removing the drawer and examining the slides and tracks for any damage, bent parts, or loose hardware.

For minor issues:

  • Clean and Lubricate: If the slides are just sticky, clean them and the corresponding tracks with a hot, damp cloth. Then, apply a lubricant like silicone spray or bar soap to help them glide smoothly. Also, check any roller wheels for problems.

  • Tighten Screws: Tighten any loose screws on the slides and tracks. If screw holes are stripped, you may need to fill them and re-drill.

For more significant damage:

  • Bent Hardware: If a slide is bent, you may be able to remove it, straighten it out, and reinstall it.

  • Broken Parts: If a slide or track is broken or severely damaged, it will need to be replaced. Unscrew the damaged part and install a replacement that matches the type and size of the original.

After performing the repair, reinsert the drawer and test it to ensure it opens and closes smoothly, making any final adjustments for proper alignment. It can also be helpful to consult the manufacturer's guidelines for your specific drawer system.

It’s possible to make minor repairs yourself on leather furniture, including using patch kits and leather repair kits. For minor leather scratches that haven’t breached the surface, repair kits can work wonders. However, we strongly recommend leaving any extensive leather repair to professionals, including deep scratches, tears, peeling, and reupholstering. These repairs demand experience to get the final product to look professional, and inexperienced DIYers may cause additional damage to the furniture that demands further repairs.

Yes, professionals can match existing finishes and exteriors by using specific materials to ensure a seamless repair that integrates with the rest of the piece or set.

Yes, many professionals offer sustainable options for both materials and finishes.

To prepare furniture for moving, detach furniture legs if possible. If the legs must stay on, wrap them with foam wrap or taped blankets to help prevent damage. You can also buy dedicated moving “socks” for furniture legs.
