Self Employed business we have been in this line of work for about 6 years now. We do Construction: roofs, fences, porches, replace damaged wood, and more. Welding: fabrication, repair work, moving structures, and a whole lot more. We also have gotten into concrete work so if you need a slab, driveway, or foundation poured get with us! We do great work, no cutting corners and clean up when we are through. Thanks and hope to hear from you.

My business is a small part time remodeling company. I am the only employee but there is no job too big or small. My fee is 25.00 per hour, with payment due upon completion. Usually work is done on the weekend, Friday thru Sunday.

The fastest and easiest way to remove small rust spots from metal is to combine lemon juice and baking soda or borax. You can mix them to make a thick paste, apply the paste to your rusted areas, let it sit for a half hour, and then gently scrub the spots with a bristle brush or old toothbrush. Finally, wipe the area clean with a lightly damp rag.

Construction includes setting foundational posts, attaching beams, and installing overhead covering.

The average cost to hire a welder is about $300, with an average rate ranging from $65 to $125 per hour, depending on their experience and the project type and size. Aside from labor costs, some other charges you’ll need to pay include the cost of the welding material and the cost of the shielding gas that makes welding possible and safe. When you’re interviewing welders for your work, you can ask for an estimate based on your project specifics. In some simple cases, like welding gas lines or common welding projects, local welders may charge a flat hourly rate with add-ons if necessary.

Some welding projects, such as repairing pipes or fences, require travel, whereas others, like furniture repair, do not necessarily require the welder to come to you. Travel and overhead factor into the overall cost of your welding project. Some of the most common welding projects include:

  • Metal furniture repair: $35–$100

  • Pipe repair: $200–$1,000

  • Small gates: $550–$750

  • Fencing: $1,200–$1,800

  • Fabricated sheet metal welding: $750–$2,500

Welders typically charge about $65 to $150 per hour, often charging a minimum fee to cover overhead and travel as applicable. Even if the job takes less than an hour, you’ll still pay the minimum charge to cover the welder’s transportation costs if they come to you. You may still pay a minimum price if you take your project to the welder, as they still have overhead of a workshop and materials to expense.
