"I received a prompt response from Vickie's Cleaning Service. After meeting with her, I was charged less than the original estimate, which was a nice surprise. She was able to complete the cleaning job within 2 days of initial contact. Job well done!"

"First Iâ m a healthcare professional, Iâ m picky and like cleanliness! I was skeptical at first, very hesitant. I watched her tutorials and followed her on FB and I watched her cleanings. I also did not want folks inside not know in my home. She is easy to schedule, not because she not busy but because she is time oriented and she is very organized with her schedule. She has the SAME team and they all have their specific jobs (I guess) because nothing is ever overlooked or not cleaned. I have been very happy with her services! I have used her services and need to reschedule again now. The products she uses clean and shine well. She has products to sell as well, if youâ d like to try. She has lots of tricks to get hard to clean messes gone. Next, Iâ m going to have her use her magic on my glass oven door! Iâ ve tried everything I know and it still looks horrible. Give her team a try. I love having a clean home. It gives me more ME and family time. Thank you Mrs. Jocie, The Cleaning Lady / Just One Touch Cleaning Services"

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Having your roof cleaned can be worth it because it improves the life span of the materials on the roof. You won’t have to pay a roof replacement cost as often when you clean the roof regularly.

Flat roofs are a solid option for people who want extra outdoor space. Flat roofs are very common in other parts of the world and only recently has the U.S. started to see the benefit in the increased space. Flat roofs are also easier to maintain and pose much less of a safety risk, which allows for more DIY work for handy homeowners. Some people also build green or living roofs that grow plant life.

You can rinse your solar panels in some cases. For example, periodically rinsing your solar panels can remove light debris if you live in an agricultural or dusty area. Light dust and dirt won’t affect efficiency much, but they can build up and mix with other debris like animal droppings, leaves, and small sticks.

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.
