Customers say: Quick response

"There is no other way to describe my experience except outstanding and even enjoyable! Friendly honest realistic and so dang fast! I even threw another project at them as they were walking in the door. that was no problem they completed both projects I wanna say within two hours after leaving to go get parts. I never once felt intimidated or afraid that I was being cheated. There was something very reassuring; when your handyman tells you, that there is very little in my home they can’t fix. It is only fitting that Air Duct Man appears at the top of my contact list! Hire these guys! You will wind up feeling as good as I do!"

"Samuel is amazing. I hired Samuel to replace a closet door in the apartment I just moved out of. I could not find the door I needed, and Samuel went out of his way to find the door, and pick it up. He arrived on time, was very professional, personable and kind. It was refreshing to work with Samuel because he treated me with respect, his fees are fair, and he didn’t try to price gauge the project because I’m a woman, like some contractors I considered hiring for projects I want completed in my new home. I look forward to working with Samuel to complete the other projects I want/need completed. I will absolutely refer Samuel to my family and friends who want/need to hire a contractor."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

A calculation method that your HVAC contractor will use to ensure your system does what it's supposed to is measuring duct output, or its CFM. The calculation requires knowing the cross-sectional area of the ductwork and determining the air speed past any given point within it.

While your AC unit may still run even if its capacitor is going bad, doing so takes a lot more energy, so it can drive up your electric bill and cause further damage to your AC unit’s parts. If you suspect a bad capacitor, it’s important to have a professional diagnose and fix the problem before you continue to run your AC.

Signs of a damaged evaporator coil include warm air from vents, frequent starts and stops without proper cooling, failure to turn on, refrigerant leaks, and unusual noises. If you suspect issues with your AC system or its components, it’s best to call an AC repair technician for proper diagnosis and repairs.

If both your furnace and AC unit are more than a decade old, it may be a good idea to replace both of them. However, your furnace can last up to three decades, and your air conditioner can typically last up to 15 years, so consulting with a pro before deciding to replace both of them is best. If it’s before that time limit for each, you can fix many problems with repairs or just replace one.

Setting your AC unit to 78 degrees can, indeed, help you save energy. In fact, according to experts, every degree you turn the unit up could save you between 1% and 3% on your energy bills. That said, turning your unit off entirely while you’re out might actually be less efficient than keeping it on at a higher temperature. Why? The unit will need to work extra hard to cool the house back off again after all those hot hours.
