"Randolph Development (D&D Cabinetry) were perhaps the best part of our entire new home construction. Dan and Danielle Randolph were able to see the vision that we had for our home and they gave creative input that made for a very unique set of custom cabinets! They operate with the utmost attention to detail--we are so pleased with the work they've done for us! Not only did they build the cabinets that we wanted, they also took on some "unfinished" projects that we needed for our new home--fixing a set of antique corbels that we wanted to use on our covered back porch, they also converted an antique fireplace mantel into a beautiful built-in book case that is in the center of our home. We have enjoyed every moment of our involvement with this company...so much so, that we have added a few more jobs to their work list! (Wish is was possible to submit photos of the work they've done for us...although I'm not sure photos would do them justice) Call them if you are looking for professionalism, courtesy, attention to detail, unique design, quality construction and materials, and timely work completion!"

You don’t necessarily need to seal bathroom cabinets after painting, especially if you’ve used a gloss or semigloss paint. But adding a coat of high-quality sealant can add a layer of protection against bathroom moisture that can cause the wood to swell or warp or allow mold and mildew growth.

Liquid sandpaper is a solvent used to soften existing layers of paint and make them porous enough that you can effectively apply a new coat of paint. You can paint over wood, wood-laminate, and metal cabinets, but you need to prepare the surface first. Plastic laminate cabinets and thin veneers may accept a layer of paint depending on their condition, but they require special techniques and paints. If your cabinets sag or have significant damage, it may be a better investment to replace your cabinets than paint over them.

For a smooth and long-lasting finish, opt for an 100 percent acrylic, semi gloss latex self-leveling paint. There are many brands and types of paint to choose from, so do research before deciding which one is best for your project. Some paints even have qualities that might save you time. For example, some paints have primer so you can skip priming separately and start painting right away. 

If you don’t want to sand your bathroom cabinets before painting, it’s possible to make it work. However, sanding the cabinets for a long-lasting paint job is always best. Make sure your cabinets are in good shape, choose high-quality paint, and use a deglosser. The deglosser strips the paint, varnish, or stain from the cabinets to give you a clean slate to work from.
