"Absolutely spot on and fantastic from my first sales call by Karen who explained everything from wood decks to composite decks to financing and how communication would flow throughout the process of replacing our wood deck with a composite deck. Once we signed up we waited about 6 weeks until it was our turn. Paul the Production manager let us know when our deck supplies would be delivered. Next came a call from Justin who would be in charge of the actually crew that would be removing our old deck and building our new deck. The actual crew worked their magic in removing our old deck in less than a half day and construction started on our new deck immediately. our brand new deck was complete in less than a day and a half. The crew working were fast and efficient. Every detail was taken care of the first time. Communication from beginning to conclusion was choreographed exactly like our sales person, Karen said it would be done. We are so pleased with Maris Home Improvements. We highly recommend them! "GA Chott is the company to call for remodeling. I wish I could give an infinite number of "+++" with my A ratings. We had gotten bids from 2 other companies and while I had good conversations with both, GA Chott underbid by quite a bit. And this was no small job. It was a remodel I've been wanting to do for 14 years and everyone at this stellar company handled it as if this was in their own house. Darryll arrived on time to come take a look at the kitchen and take measurements for the estimate. He knew I had plenty of details worked out but still asked enough questions to make sure the estimate would be as complete as possible. I signed the contract in early June. Our start date was scheduled for mid-September. They were worth the wait! On the first day, Darryll said he & the demo crew (Todd & Keith) would be there at 7:30 and they were there on the dot. This was the case every day during the remodel. Since our kitchen opens directly to our family room, Todd & Keith took great care in putting up plastic to keep the dust down as much as possible. They laid plastic on the carpet and on the hardwood leading to the bathroom, cardboard. I was so impressed that they took time to screw down the squeaky subfloor before the new flooring came in. I usually do that when we replace carpet (since I know installers don't often do it) so it was a nice surprise they did that without my mentioning it. Once John took over, I knew we were in the best hands possible. I don't think I've met a more honest, upfront, hardworking & detail-oriented contractor in my life as a homeowner -- and our two houses have needed ALOT of work. He always asked questions and made suggestions when I was undecided; he and Richard from Born Electric were especially helpful when it came time to place the can lights. One of the most helpful things John did was move our old oven back & forth from the garage so we could still use it during the remodel. While the fridge was fine in the garage (and the microwave on the dining room floor), there was no outlet to plug in the fridge. Being a family man himself, he understood what it was like trying to feed a family during a lengthy remodel. The finished kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and belongs on a magazine cover. I am happily recommending GA Chott to everyone I know -- give them a call!"

"This company is very easy to work with. A few years ago we had them put in walkway lighting. They offered to come in and set it up so that we could see how it would look and then they would come back and install more or differently depending on how we felt. I actually thought I wanted more lights but they told me I didn't need it. I appreciate they tried to keep the costs down. We've called them back recently to change the motion light on the back of our house. We already had a fixture there so they just needed to put in something different (~$250). Everything I was seeing at Home Depot got poor reviews and I was sick of changing lightbulbs. Daniel responded to my emails in a timely manner and always answered the phone when I called. But also, we were a few minutes late getting to the house and he was in the front fixing the lights (repositioning b/c we'd had landscaping done) they had installed a few years ago!! I was impressed with this."
