"Easy set up with sales for roof, gutters, and an exterior door replacement. They are great with communication and flexible when you forget to ask for gutter covers and they need to add at the last minute. My new gutters and roof are beautiful! My next project for them will be a new front door soon. Then siding in the future. I definitely will be a repeat customer with them for my home project coordination needs. If you are on the fence, at least get a quote from this company. They have an excellent team that is willing to go above and beyond to have your dream project done the way you want."

Awnings questions, answered by experts

Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.

Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.

Costs range from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on size, material, and design complexity.

The main disadvantage of an awning window is that you can’t use it to escape in an emergency. Another disadvantage of awning windows is that they can get dirty quicker than other types of windows that don’t open outward, especially if you keep them open when it’s raining or snowing. You can hire a local window replacement installer to decide if an awning window is right for your home.

Yes, awnings can add value to a home, primarily by boosting its curb appeal and providing more usable outdoor space. While the exact monetary return on investment depends on the awning's size, style, and quality, they offer an excellent appeal factor to potential buyers. For example, an awning with a trendy metal roof can be particularly attractive. Even if the direct increase in resale value is modest, a well-chosen awning enhances the home's functionality and aesthetic.

Costs range from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on size, material, and design.
