However, it’s best to seek out furniture sliders that are specifically meant for carpeting, or a larger size of slider that the furniture won’t slip off of as easily. Many varieties of furniture sliders are versatile enough to use on carpeting, hardwood, or tile floors.
Vinyl and laminate flooring can have a similar life span. Both well-maintained laminate and luxury vinyl flooring can last up to 25 years. The exception is the thinner type of vinyl flooring that comes in sheets and lasts less than 10 years. It’s important to note that vinyl is waterproof, whereas you can ruin laminate if it absorbs too much moisture.
Avoid steam cleaning unsealed hardwood, vinyl, and laminate floors unless the manufacturer explicitly states that a steam mop can be used.
