 + -1 moreWe had to take down our flat screen TV because of a remodeling project. When my husband and I put it back, we were unable to get the cables connected correctly. No sound, no DVD, no cable etc.... I bought this service through the Angies List big deal. I will able to schedule an appointment quickly. The Stafford rep was on time and quickly fixed the problem with this TV and the problem we were having with another flat screen in our rec room. Next time - we will call them to take down the TV and put it back up.

Description of Work: I have used Stafford Home Service twice. The last time I called them another service provider installed a light for me but after he installed it, we determined there was no switch to turn on the light. I immediately called Stafford and they knew how to fix it and installed a new light switch. The first time I called them to raise the outside outlet. They were unable to raise it to the height I wanted so they installed it on the wall at the height that i needed it.

When they looked at what needed to be done they consulted their price book for more than an hour and provided an estimate of $900. At that point I just picked the things that had the highest priority and told them to just do that, and I went with another electrician to do the rest.
Description of Work: I had a list of things that needed to be done in a house before it was sold.

 + 0 moreThree other electricians told me they couldn't do the job, but Stafford Home Service company did the job for me. They were done in an half hour. They did a lot of work. It started out very well. I called the company and asked them for an estimate. They came in the next day and gave me an estimate which I thought was very fair for the work I wanted done. They took a couple weeks to come back to do the job but they were waiting for the work order. He was supposed to be here at 7:30 in the morning but, his truck was there at 7:00. They were extremely easy to work with. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. They even fixed my exterior motion detector lights. I was really pleased with them and I recommended them to my neighbor. I had a feeling of confidence and trust with them.
Description of Work: I have used Stafford Home Service company for electrical services. They replaced the existing light fixtures and they installed some outlets.

 + -1 moreDan, the owner/sales person was very open about answereing all of our questions. The installation team was excellent. They were punctual, clean, and also open to any questions. I would highly recommend this company. Nothing negative to say at all.
Description of Work: 20+ year old furnace replaced with new high efficiency Bryant furnace. Venting installed through garage attic and roof. We kept existing air filter (Space Guard) and Aprilaire humidifier. New thermostat installed as well.

Description of Work: We were redoing a bathroom and they installed a new electric fan in the bathroom (where there hadn't been one before), as well as new outlets near our sink. The ductwork in our bathroom is kind of wonky, so they had to put the vent/fan in the wall, but they did a great job and it works wonderfully. We didn't even have to do any painting on the exterior of our home or interior plasterwork after they put in the fan, which was great.

I would highly recommend that everyone have this service every year to make sure that your system is operating at its fullest. I gave the highest rating because they earned it! I would definitely have them back to service my furnace again.
Description of Work: I had Stafford Home Service perform a furnace tune up. He discovered a problem that would have caused an issue for us this winter. I was so happy that I had signed up for this service and that he was able to fix it before it became a problem.

After speaking with 2 other companies I decided to go with Stafford. They arrived on time and kept me informed about their progress. George and Jeremy were the guys who performed most of the work and were a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to contact Stafford for any future projects.

 + 0 moreJason from Stafford was just awesome! He arrived promptly for both an estimate and to do the actual work. He was in and out in about an hour, and that included checking to be certain that he had not disrupted any of our internet cable connections. He took the time to explain how everything would be working together and left his card in case we had any questions or problems. He also advised me about being sure that I did not start fireplace before I got a mantel put in to diffuse heat away from television. Stafford folks were the only ones willing to come out and give me estimate and work with brick fireplace install; others promised to call back but never did. I will definitely use them again, as I have an old intercom system that I would one day like to update.
Description of Work: Install of flat screen 52" television over fireplace, and re-routing of cable lines to accommodate placement, hook-up of television audio to audio stereo receiver, and connecting VHS/DVD player to TV.

 + -1 moreWe received a few quotes in May for this project and were really impressed by Stafford from the start. We delayed the project-but needed to get outside lights in before the winter. I called and they still honored their quote from May, which was fantastic. The best part was I called on a Friday and was able to get the work done on the following Friday! When the electricians came, they were very professional and courteous. They used shoe covers and made sure to clean up after they left. The project was a little complicated to wire on the front porch since it is an old home, but Stafford was able to do it without cutting ceiling tiles or running conduit! The lights are perfect and all done for a great price. We will definitely consider them again for future projects.

Description of Work: We have had them out twice. The first time they hung a large TV above the fireplace and wired it. We then had them come out and put in a dedicated GFI plug for our sump pump. He also tested all of the GFI outlets in the house and found that they did not need to be replaced which saved us a lot of money.
