 + 0 moreNot only was I not charged for the replacement nor service (I understand that the manufacturer covered the cost), Dan did some additional work at not charge. There was a problem with the air conditioning over the weekend and the weekend guy worked with my schedule to diagnose and fix the problem -- on Sunday night. This company absolutely excels at customer service. I can't say how happy I am that when I chose my heating and cooling systems that I went with Bryant and with this company. I also love the fact that the people who work with this company are so professional and that I see the same folks (says a lot about the company that they have that kind of loyalty). Well done.
Description of Work: The coil on the air conditioner/heat pump needed replacing.

 + -1 moreI had ended up calling him directly, mostly because I had been trying to fix the blaring alarm for 40 min. I spoke to Dave, he was all that is professional, and incredibly helpful. He could hear the thing going off and talked me through several more steps. A alarm was still going off even after I had (carefully) taken the fire alarm off the electric system (with some advise from Dave). I was by then desperate for the alarm to stop. He asked, very kindly, if I had a carbon monoxide alarm in my condo. It had been over a year since I had even thought about it. It is not a big condo and I eventually found it. It had come loose from the outlet which apparently causes the alarm. I told him, very embarrassed, that I did. Then our connection was broken, who knows why, maybe my chin hit a button. I found my screwdriver but screw was already stripped. So I took a hammer to the part closed over the battery, just enough to get a small opening then I took a quarter and was rewarded by the thing cracking off and I could remove the battery. Blessed silence finally came. I had left the room and evidently left my phone in the first room. I went to do a deep clean the kitchen and with the water on fairly often. This meant that I did not hear my phone as Dave tried to call me back, many times. I at least was able to call back to thank him for his kindness and service provided. I will definitely call Staffored Home Service for any electric work that needs to be done. After all I still need to have the fire alarm, maybe an updated one!

 + -1 moreI called 4 electrical companies. It was very difficult to find someone that wasn't 3 weeks out for an estimate of work. Stafford was able to come out the following week. They gave me an estimate for cable to run to my lower level basement. We decided to do the work that same day. It took about an hour for the work to be completed. I am very satisfied with the work. I will definitely use them again in the future.

 + -1 moreThis is the second time i have had stafford home service come out to my home for work. Dave and another fellow, im guessing an apprentice came to my home early by a few minutes which i enjoy people being on time and we talked about 2 circuits being blown in my service panel. we spoke about what i did in my kitchen recently and what happened moments before the breakers started to blow and what i did personally to remedy the problem. and then for 45 minutes they figured out the problem which i am very happy about. the only reason i down rating this time is im still getting use to paying for a professional to figure stuff out for me as i am a first time homebuyer. im positive 175 dollars is a quality rate i just hate seeing big numbers. the only thing i didnt like is that a new outlet was put in even though the one he handed me from the wall might of been good and never proven bad even though i never asked for a new one which i am disappointed in. i like the outlets to have the little light to tell me its on. i have one where the green light is on the top, one with it on the bottom and one with no light, and that light would only come on when something is wrong and that happens to be a red light. i like things to match and those outlets arent cheap to buy at big box store. it isnt a deal breaker for me yet but it worries me a little. all the work the 2 times stafford came to my home is still quality and i will recommend anytime it comes up to a friend that stafford is worth the time.

He didn't say we have to do everything. He just basically just talked about the kind of things with the highest priorities. It was just very accessible feedback as what we should look at.
Description of Work: The guy from Stafford Home Service came in and did a whole house evaluation and gave us assessments on everything that we possibly need to have done in the house.

 + -1 moreI had issues with the quality of their work but they were very responsive and in helping to address the issues. Unfortunately they needed to come to my house at least 4 times in total to finally resolve all issues. Multiple times the recessed can lights were not working and they needed to be reinstalled/readjusted. And the under the cabinet fixture they installed came crashing down one night so that had to be reinstalled as well. They were apologetic and accommodating in sending someone quickly to remedy the issues but I just really wish the work had been done correctly to begin with. I am not sure whether I'd use them again.
Description of Work: I used Stafford Home Service to perform three small electrical jobs in my home - replace 2 recessed can lights that we not working properly, replace a light fixture under the kitchen counter, and add a light fixture to a bedroom closet.

After they were done with the installation, they cleaned up the job site. I am very pleased and would use them again!

They did exactly what they said they were going to do and they did it faster than they predicted. They did the work properly, on time and they were not overly expensive.

 + -1 moreThey (2) arrived on time and were done in 45 minutes. Our lower level is finished, so the cable run involved a lot of wire fishing. They were able to do that using only one hole in the wall in the lower level family room. This job replaced the old cable run that was causing problems with some of the TV channels. The new cable solved that.
Description of Work: The job was to run a replacement coax cable from the splitter that is in the basement near the north end of the house to the outlet in the first floor living room that is approximately in the middle of the house.

 + -1 moreWe were very impressed. All of the employees we dealt with were professional, courteous, and helpful. We received phone calls reminding us of the appointment. The service techician called on his way to the residence. Unfortunately, I had misinformed the company about the work that needed to be done. However, that was not a problem. The technician ordered the parts and returned the following week - no extra charge. I had problems after the technicians left with my bathroom outlets. I called and the scheduler tried to assist me, but I still couldn't get them to work. She notified the technicians, who promptly returned to my residence to help me. I was embarrassed to find out that there was another outlet in the bathroom that controlled the reset of all of the bathroom outlets. The technicians helped me with a smile and thanked me again for my business when they left.
Description of Work: Our bathroom fan was venting into the attic, and needed to be vented through the roof and some of the parts needed to be changed to bring the house up to code. Additionally, the electric meter box needed to be resecured to the side of the house.

 + 1 moreStafford has installed a total of 3 vent fans in two different houses. The estimate was time and materials and very competitive. Two of the fans were installed from inside of the bathroom to replace existing fans, no need to get into the crawl space. The third fan required venting to the roof. The installer was prompt, courteous and tidy. He also installed a ceiling light that had a weird wiring configuration (normally a DIY project). Got one bid on an outside outlet for roof heater cables and hot tub that seemed expensive and decided not to go through with the project. Also called about a problem after a power outage and tech on call suggested it was an Xcel Energy problem which it was, and was fixed at no cost to us. Would definitely use again.

The electricians were careful to protect our home from the elements (snow) and put tarp down where they worked to keep the area clean. They explained all stages of the work when it was completed and it was finished in the estimated time. Each team member was friendly and courteous. An added amusing bonus was the Stafford ?hearse? they use for their company truck. Stafford arranged for the city inspector to come a few days later and he also said Stafford does good work.

Description of Work: Before the technician installing my Dish TV service plugged in the receiver, he checked the outlet. To make a long story short, we found out that all of the outlets on the main level of my house were wired backwards. The technician would not plug in the receiver until the outlet was fixed. I looked on Angie's list and called Stafford Home Service. They were able to send someone out not the next day, but the day after that. The Electrician came in and was able to rewire all my outlets in about an hour! I was very happy with the service and the price. I would definitely call them again.
