Dave arrived within the given time period. He was pleasant and polite. He completed all the replacements He prepared the wiring for the forthcoming bathroom heat lamp. The company had emailed me a day ahead to tell me that the heat lamp was on back order, but that the rest of the work would be done. The ceiling fan posed more problems. It had been wobbly and Dave found that he had to replace the piece of equipment that attached the fan to the joist. He couldn't reuse the equipment that was already in the ceiling. He had to go back to the company and get a different type. The fan is working well now.

Steve arrived promptly around 7:00 AM and got right to business. He calmly explained the process and expected timeline. He didn't encounter any issues along the way but kept us up to date on his progress when we passed by. He was remarkably courteous and straightforward - easy to build a rapport. A great ambassador for Stafford!

Chris arrived on time, quickly gave me an estimate, and he started work. He informed me that code required that the new wired lights required an arc fault breaker, and he tested and supplied the new breaker. He did the trouble-shooting for the service switch and told me he did not have the part on hand. I offered to make a run for it, and he moved on to the boiler circuit. By the time I returned with the correct switch for the service cutoff, he was just finishing up the surge suppressor installation. He completed all tasks, cleaned up his work areas and tested everything. Could not be more pleased.

The electrician showed up on time, was friendly and professional, and did all work to specifications. I would definitely call Stafford again.

Stafford Home Services is absolutely first rate. Steve, the technician, was on time, gave a 45 minute heads up on arrival time, and very quickly and efficiently repaired a faulty light switch and reset a non-functioning stove top circuit. He was cordial, gave a quick estimate, and completed the whole project within 30 minutes. Excellent, efficient work.

Representative arrived very punctually (7:10 am for a window of 7 to 8 a.m.). Looked at ceiling areas and provided a verbal estimate. Received a written emailed estimate via email very shortly thereafter. Cost was consistent with verbal estimate. We are not ready to "pull the trigger" on the work quite yet, but were pleased with the estimate.

I have used stafford 3-4 times for various projects. They have always been very professional, easy to reach, and do very high quality work. The price is probably slightly higher than others, but you get what you pay for. We actually bid this job out to another electrician and they came and told us they'd have to knock down walls to do what stafford was able to do very neatly and without any damage. I've also used them to install cable outlets and do hvac work.

They completed the work in 3 weeks. They were cooperative with the other service providers in my home at the time.

They were extremely professional and efficient from scheduling to providing the estimate to completing the work. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner, right down to the cleanup. Very pleased with the results and would happily use them again.

Dave arrived on time at 8:00 am. I told him my electrical concerns. He went to work immediately starting with the circuit breaker box, then checking each outlet throughout the home. He would answer questions as I recalled them. he also check outlets on the exterior of the house. Afterward he advised of certain outlets that were not working correctly or needed to be replaced.

I want to begin by saying that my experience with the electrical side of Stafford was amazing. Couldn't have been better. This review is for the HVAC side of things. When my husband and I bought our house last summer, the inspection noted that the range hood was not properly vented out through the roof; it was blowing air directly into the attic. Seeing as the range hood was already installed, we just needed someone to finish the job, so we decided this would be one of the first things we'd have someone come out to take care of. Dan (one of the owners) came out to do the estimate last December. Vent existing hood to existing opening $386 Replace existing bath fan venting and install proper hood and termination $129 Total: $515 $500 was a bit more than we were wanting to spend at Christmas time, so we decided to hold off. In March, we were contacted by Stafford to see if we'd be interested in proceeding if we were offered a 15% discount. That sounded good to me; so we got on the schedule. Later in March, a tech from Stafford came out to do the job. He came, went up in the attic, and realized that a part that would be needed to connect the top of the range hood to the venting was missing, so he wasn't able to do anything that day. We ordered the part and said we'd contact Stafford as soon as it came in to reschedule the work. Well, the next day, I got a call from Dan at Stafford saying he was going to have to charge us for the visit the previous day. I said, "you want to charge me for the visit even though nothing was done?" He pushed back and said it wasn't Stafford's fault that the part was missing. Then I asked if it was something that could have been noticed in the estimate, and he said yes, but that they typically aren't looking THAT closely at things during an estimate and that he just "popped his head up in the attic" when he came to do the estimate before. I told him that's not what I expect from an estimate and that I was frustrated my husband had had to miss a half day of work for an appointment at which nothing had happened. When I mentioned that I would be including the additional charge in my Angie's List review, he backed off. No charge. When the part finally came in, we rescheduled with Stafford. Neither my husband or myself were going to be able to be home at the time, but they said that wasn't a problem as long as we left them a way to get in. I called them to tell them I'd be leaving the garage remote in a certain location. At the end of the day the work was performed, when I got home, I looked for the garage remote where I had left it, but it wasn't there. I thought that was odd. I thought maybe they weren't done and had taken it with them but thought it was strange that they hadn't called. When I went inside I saw the range hood kind of hanging off the ceiling (it had previously been flush to the ceiling), and then I figured they really WEREN'T done, but I again wondered why they hadn't called to let me know they weren't done. Then I went into the bedroom and looked at the closet (where the access to the attic is), and they had completely taken apart all of the shelves and pins and poles and left them strewn about the bed. At that point I decided to try to call Stafford "after hours" to figure out what was going on: missing garage remote, range hood unfinished, things strewn about. I got a hold of Dan who seemed put out by my call; he kept telling me to send him pictures, so I did. He got ahold of the tech who had come out and the tech confirmed that he had "finished the job." Dan called me back to let me know that everything, as far as Stafford was concerned, was done. He said the garage remote had been left in a different location than where I had left it (somewhere I would NEVER have found). I assume the tech had forgotten where I had put it. After I described the job as "something a fifth grader could have done" and after spending a great deal of time and energy in making my case, Dan agreed not to charge us for the job. For this I was VERY appreciative (and this is why I gave scores of D instead of F). He also offered to come fix it himself, but after three Stafford visits to the house (the estimate, plus the two service visits), I declined this offer. I felt that Dan talked down to me and just wanted to be done with me and not that he wanted to leave me feeling better. He kept saying that he "wouldn't have done anything differently." A couple weeks later, I realized I had never received anything in writing saying that we didn't owe anything and that everything was taken care of, so I called Stafford to inquire and the receptionist said that she wouldn't know anything about that and that I'd have to talk to Dan. When she said that I felt my blood pressure rise because every time I had talked to him I had felt kind of bullied. She put me through, but he wasn't there so I left a message. He called back and left me a message saying that yes, everything was taken care of and that the reason I hadn't gotten anything in writing was because he had just "deleted the work order completely"; like it never happened. I saved the message on my phone in case any issues come up later, but I guess that's as good as it's going to get. The whole HVAC experiences was particularly disappointing because we've used Stafford for a number of years for electrical issues and I had assumed the Stafford brand was one that we could rely on--apparently not.

They were punctual and professional. The project met my expectations. They also cleaned up after their work was complete. I would definitely use them again.

They were great! They were down-to-earth and very straightforward. They sent me a bid and I thought it was very reasonable. So far, they had been very helpful. I will probably end up working with them.

It turned out fine. It turned out that my clients needed a lot more work done but that was fine. They were good and prompt. They responded quickly. They also gave us a bid that was too high so I believe my client had a different company but it worked out well for what we needed it for at that time. It is like a consultation fee.

It went well. Chuck came out and gave us an estimate to bring all the electrical in our house up to code. This included approximate costs. He also was able to answer all the questions I had about additional services. Will most likely use them when we are ready to make these repairs.

Quality of the craftsmanship was obviously superior to the previous electrician.

Stafford ran an outlet to my deck and installed a whole home surge protector. The bid was significantly lower than others I gathered. The tech, Chris, was great--on-time, nice guy, clean install, good craftsmanship. Stafford will be my go-to moving forward.

I am thoroughly impressed by the work performed by Jason. My Wife and I hired them to mount a flat panel TV and sound bar over our fireplace. This required a new power outlet, and also multiple cables had to be run to that location from the basement as I also relocated my cable receiver and Apple TV. Jason also revived my existing Ethernet network that was never truly functional. Now all of the data ports throughout our home are functional and all of our devices are hard wired vs. using wireless. I would not hesitate to hire them again in the future and am already planning on having them back for another project.

The gentleman showed up on time, came in to the house I showed him where the electrical panel was and left him to do his inspection. I did point out a couple of things that I had a question about such as I want to put a microwave above my stove and asked it I could tap into the existing box or if I need to have it wired specifically for the microwave. He said that it is best for the microwave to have it's own dedicated outlet. I also have a light switch that I am not sure what it goes to and he told me that it probably goes to a outlet and that someone must have changed out the outlet and a small brass tab needs to be snapped of then the outlet can be controlled by the switch. All told he did a good job there are a couple of outlets and switches that he didn't inspect upstairs I was going to ask him when he got near them but he didn't and I forgot. Kinda disappointed in that I thought he was going to inspect ALL of the outlets and test them all which was not done. He walked into the kitchen and just looked at them to see how many and if gfi but didn't test each outlet. The bid for work to done was short and somewhat fairly priced. Not sure if I will be using them to do the work though, as I have a nephew that can do it for me.

Jason was great. Prompt and very professional. He communicated very clearly the work requirements and cleaned up job area when work was complete. The electricians who rewired were also prompt and professional. They even pulled some difficult wires instead of cutting more holes in the ceiling.

He also fixed a couple of outlets within a half hour - I was very pleased! I had been without electricity in those two outlets the kitchen for years - I had only 1 active outlet in the kitchen which was a pain. He was very nice and courteous.
