Jake Wieser Construction, Inc. is a family owned firm owned with Jake Wieser as principal owner. Raised around his dad's plumbing and excavating business and his grandparent's dairy farm, Jake learned about hard work and honesty at a very early age. He began his construction career as an apprentice carpenter with a local commercial contractor. Learning the trade through hands-on experience, Jake became a journeyman carpenter and quickly progressed to a job foreman. Captured by entrepreneurial spirit, Jake formed Jake Wieser Construction, Inc. in 1989 with the desire to provide quality construction services at competitive prices. Trenching is not the same as boring. Boring uses a drill to make a tunnel for underground utilities, but trenching involves digging with an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. Boring is more precise and expensive, and it’s best for installing utilities underneath buildings, roads, and bodies of water. Trenching is simpler but can cause more disruption to landscaping and ecosystems.

Most residential basements are 8 to 10 feet deep. You can dig deeper depending on building codes, but it does become more difficult.
