"For a number of years I had been trying to figure out how to get some privacy in our fish bowl back yard surrounded by a 4-foot chain link fence which I fond to be very unattractive. It has been difficult to plant for privacy along the fence because there is so much shade. I had thought about having a nice wood fence built but a six ft wood fence wouldn’t help that much because all our neighbors have decks plus fences seem kind of unfriendly and un-neighborly. That is when I started to observe trellises in other people’s yards and it finally dawned on me that trellises could help accomplish the privacy I was longing for and yet seem neighbor friendly. I started looking on Angie’s List and found GARDEN STRUCTURES & MORE listed. I went to their website a was very excited about the pictures he had posted of their other projects. I called Hal and he came out and we talked about my ideas. He seemed to fall right in with what I was thinking. He wasn’t able to get to my project immediately but he was able to work my job in among his other jobs so the weight was not very long. When Hal and his crew of 3 get going they work very hard and are amazingly productive. By the way digging some of the holes was a nightmare because of the tree roots. They do a lot of the prep work and construction in their shop ahead of time. I am wild about my trellises. They are accomplishing exactly what I envisioned. They are built strategically in the open areas along the fence line on all three sides if the back yard. They are handsome and substantial. Nothing like the trellises you find in the nurseries. I have already gotten compliments from the neighbors. They look nice from both sides of the fence. My friends think it is a brilliant solution. I am already thinking about other projects I want GARDEN STRUCTURES & MORE to do. Perhaps a nice garden shed and maybe some kind of shelter to hang a hammock. "I met with the salesman on May 5, signed the contract on May 7 which included a June 16 start date, July 5 finish date. The start date was changed to June 30th, then July 28. Long story short, the project was finally completed December 31. There were multiple errors, delays, and poor communication. Most of the delays were due to an out of state engineer who is not very responsive, or so I was told. I am pleased with the finished product, and the cost, but the process was grueling. As time went on the communication did improve, and the workers were very nice. I've been told by the owner that many lessons were learned during my lengthy project, which should have been done in 2 1/2 weeks according to the salesman.
Follow up: it's spring 2015 and the subfloor under the linoleum is buckling, which is not surprising. It was left exposed to sitting water for months during construction due to extended delays. It was buckling after that, and all that was done was sanding the raised areas, which was not a solution based on the outcome. I'm in contact with the owner, Clint, regarding this problem and will follow up on how it is delt with. Clint came and looked at and photographed the issue, we decided to see if it gets worse, and if so, implement a repair.
Follow up 2: now that it's warm we noticed many bugs in the sunroom, and discovered that the screen guards were not installed, creating a bug freeway on every door and window, reported this to Clint, waiting now for this to be taken care of, no ETA has been given..."

"We contacted them; they sent out someone to replace the glass.  I mentioned the temperature not being efficient and they checked both ovens because I was having to use one of the other ovens because of the cracked door, and that yes indeed that filament wasn't heating properly.  While they were here they checked the filament in the oven with the broken glass in the door and that one wasn't heating properly, so the technician reported that we might need a new oven.  And I guess after them finding out that there were no parts available, they supplied us with a new oven.  That was something we were wanting to do on our own some day.  So they replaced our oven; we were happy with that.  We were able to replace an ugly oven that had other issues, it was missing some of the trim, and it was probably the second oven for this older home.  For their price, I think American Home Shield is about average; I mean, they're a typical home warranty company.  They're not cheaper than anybody else.  I had to call them to find out that we were getting the new oven.  We had the technician out, someone was gonna get back with us, and about a week went by and I had to make a phone call and find out that they were gonna give us an oven. "
