    2/19/2021 I would only buy from Beachside Gardens if you don't mind if your plants don't grow and they don't honor their guarantee. I used the plants Laura said would grow on my property. I let them plant at their higher rates because they told me they would guarantee the plants for a year. Forget that. Two months later, 50% of the plants weren't doing well. They said wait till next spring then in the spring they said wait till mid June, then after mid June, they stopped returning calls or texts. I even stopped by and talked to one of the sisters and still Laura never returned my calls. I have never written a negative review before, but the public needs to know. STAY AWAY!

    Chad Foyer is the person that I am dealing with. He came out and I showed him the area that I wanted landscaped. Then he went back to the office, drew up a design, and made some suggestions. I went to the nursery and got the flowers and plants. Then it rained very heavily here in the valley and we got drenched. Then the other guy that had been working on the house said that there were some things that had to be done inside. Now I have a money crunch. I called Chad and told him how it is, I am going to have to back out, and I had given him $2100. I told him that I would pay for the design and his time. I told him that I want to do the work myself and buy the plants from him. I made sure that he understood that was not because we had to keep pushing the start date back because of the weather. He called me back and said that he understood and he was not going to charge me for the design and would send me another check. I am super satisfied with him and as soon as my situation changes, I will be using him. I have no reason to be dissatisfied with him.

    The trees were in excellent shape and the plantings were carefully done. Greg, the owner, is an absolute pleasure to deal with. They brought a full crew and were very careful on the new lawn and they cleaned up nicely. They answered all my questions are were just a pleasure to work with. They were a little on the high side, but well worth it! I also bought a large portion of my perennials from them and they were exceptional quality!

    After the repair, we picked up the power washer in the fall and stored it in a heated storage area for the winter. We took it out this spring for the first time since the repair and upon hooking the garden hose to the unit we discovered that Lappan's had removed or never replaced the thermo relief valve. Water was simply flowing out of the front of the water pump. We called them to ask about the plug and they told us that the paperwork says that they tested the machine for twnety minutes and that they couldn't do that without the plug in it. We explained that we understand their comments but the plug was not in it when we picked it up. They told us that the plug was there but could blow out if the unit freezes. We explained that the unit had been in a heated storage area and that it did not freeze. They just kept repeating that if it froze the treaded steel plug would have simply blown out. Obviously this is not possible when it's a thermo relief valve designed to have the center plastic piece relief out, but in our case it is irrelevant as it could not have froze. So, as they were VERY condesending and would not help at all, we ordered a simple $5 relief valve elsewhere and replaced it.. Now, if this situation isn't bad enough, fortunately we checked the engine oil prior to attempting to start the unit. Lappan's had for an unexplainable reason drained all the oil out of the engine. This is not the first time the machanics at this location had done seemly unblievable and unacceptable activity. A year prior to this, they attempted to change us three hours of labor while their machanic completed an online course to learn how to repair our SUV. I would NEVER deal with this company again!

    Not being from the area, and short on time, I simply chose the closest small engine repair shop. I should have left the moment I walked in the door. The shop is small, but very disorganized, dirty, with used parts, new parts with dust on them, and all sorts of random yard machines sitting in a building that looks like a converted shed. The employee were ok for the most part, except the main owner/manager who had a horrible attitude, talked down to a girl there and an older man who I think is his dad. He clearly had no patience with any of them and that carried over to his service with me. Because of a rare part, I had to wait several weeks while the part was ordered, which was fine as they told me this up front. However, what wasn't explained to me is that my mower would be sitting outside the whole time. The summer this year started off very wet and it rained quite a bit while it was outside. After several weeks, I received a call from the girl at the shop that it was done. Upon picking it up, I saw that it had been outside and the dad (older man) tried starting it to show me it was working ok. While the repair was done well (the pull start is working fine as of this writing (two months later) the mower doesn't start very well and takes 5-10 pulls to get it going. Before the pull-start broke, it would start with only 1-3 pulls. My mower is nothing special, cost about $200, but it is from a good brand, only 3 years old and I have always kept it in my garage. It has been a great mower up to this point. Based on my experience there I will never go back and will be telling my friends to steer clear of this place.
