They kept me informed during the process, making sure that I was happy with everything. The people were very professional, and did a through cleaning afterwards. I am writing this review about a week after the work has been doing and everything is still looking good. the patches that were put in place to fill in the holes that had to be made in the concrete to level it is starting to more match the shade of the concrete (which I was informed would take some time), I am still happy with the work, and no buyers remorse ( which is always good ). If I need leveling again, I will be using them.

They did the job near the end of September 2010 and they told me that I should not use salt on the driveway. I said that was no problem and I anyway don't even own a bag of salt. It started to get real blotchy looking during the winter because my driveway and patio are stamped by concrete. The patio slightly showed a little bit but the driveway was really bad. The very last snowfall we had was a very small amount of perhaps an inch, and I found that the driveway was cracked from one side to the other. The snow was sitting on top of the crack but there was no snow anywhere else on the driveway and that seemed kind of odd. I called Biondo, and going by their answer, they weren't real energetic to do anything, and they come very highly recommended. We continued on and on and the owner of the company finally came out and looked at it and he offered a remedy to fix it, which frankly, wasn't something I was going to approve of. He basically wanted to cut out a section of the concrete where the crack was, re-pour it and dye it again, and stamp it with the pattern that we have on the border to try and blend it in. All of this concrete was pretty expensive, and after several months of my wife and I conferring back and forth, we finally decided that something had to be done about the driveway because it was totally unacceptable. We got him back out again and he brought out several other workers and planned to do the modification or the repair to the driveway that day. The driveway was wet when he had looked at it the first time because it had been raining and the blotchiness didn't show up quite as bad. It was perfectly dry when he came out this time and he looked at it, and one of his people that had installed the driveway said that he had never seen anything like this and that there was something wrong. The end result is that they have agreed to replace the driveway. They are going to come back in the spring and completely take out the driveway and redo it. There is a chance that it is faulty concrete. They have asked me to pay a portion to help cover the labor cost to fix that. My wife and I don't have a problem with that at all. It looked beautiful when we first saw it and everybody said so, and I I would have to say that the quality is excellent in spite of what happened. Their responsiveness has to be knocked down a bit because they didn't exactly welcome me with open arms. It took e-mails and a lot of phone calls to get them to respond. The punctuality was good and they were here when they said they would be here."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/utica/biondo-cement-co-inc-reviews-2605557.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"O'Rourke Enterprises Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"John S."},"reviewBody":"After insisting on being paid \"up front\", I had to \"chase\" O'Rourke for over a year (conversations on tape) as he LIED, and LIED, and LIED about starting. When I attempted to get answers about the work he had a \"SPAZ\" attack, and I had to hire an attorney to mediate. He made threats. FAQs for concrete driveway service projects in Vanderbilt, MI
Concrete can crack from general wear, improper installation, or in response to uneven support from the soil underneath. Small, thin cracks on the surface of aging concrete are usually a result of normal wear and tear, while cracks on new concrete more likely indicate a problem with installation. Larger cracks or uneven steps can signify a much more severe issue. A concrete contractor should be able to diagnose the cause and repair concrete cracks for you.
A concrete driveway lasts between 25 and 30 years, provided you maintain it correctly. Other factors that impact the lifespan of a concrete driveway include your location’s climate and the amount of wear and tear it receives. Heavier vehicles, like RVs and trucks, notoriously create more wear and tear than lighter vehicles and, therefore, might reduce the concrete driveway’s overall lifespan.
With proper maintenance, exterior concrete steps can last 25 to 50 years or more. In most cases, your steps will require some minor repairs over that time frame, including sealing surface cracks and resurfacing to keep them in good condition. Interior concrete steps should last even longer, usually between 50 and 75 years, as they don’t have to stand up to the elements.
The cost to install a concrete driveway is $4 to $15per square foot on average. Your price heavily depends on your desired concrete finish and driveway size.
For a driveway that is 200 square feet, you can expect to pay an average cost of $1,900. For a driveway at double that size (400 square feet), the average price is closer to $3,800. Plain concrete is significantly more cost-effective, averaging $7 per square foot, whereas stained concrete averages around $19 per square foot.
The cost of resurfacing concrete is $6 per square foot on average, though that cost can range from $3 to $9per square foot.
For a driveway that is 200 square feet, you can expect to pay $600 to $1,800, and for a driveway that is 500 square feet, that cost averages $1,500 to $4,500. Resurfacing your driveway will give you the look and feel of a new surface without the hefty cost.
You may want to hire a concrete floor contractor to check out your home’s concrete surfaces or inspect your home’s foundation for minor damages that they can fix while on site. They may be able to fix cracks in your driveway or garage floor the same day they fix your concrete steps, as well. General concrete repair experts usually won’t be able to handle larger jobs, like leveling a sunken foundation, so you’ll need to hire a structural engineer for bigger projects.
