+ -1 moreI found Wee Sweep on Angie's List. Called Wee Sweep, and was called back that night. We set up an appointment, they arrived on time. There were two people, which made the job take less time. Services rendered were done with great attention and detail.....am very happy with their work, and bedside manner.
Description of Work: They came on time, lit my pilot light on our gas log fireplace. Then cleaned out and chimney swept our very LARGE downstairs fireplace. Which was in need of a good cleaning.

Description of Work: I contacted Wee Sweep and spoke to the lady that runs the place. She came out about a week later inspected the Chimney because ,we had water dripping in from the last storm we had. She looked it over and said that the cement was crumbling and had to be replaced which I kind of knew that, she also said our chimney cap needed to be replaced with $100.00 cap. She said that I didn't need a shield or liner in the chimney. She's the first chimney person off Angie's list and I'm not to sure about her business practices. There was nothing on the receipt about what work was done I know they replaced the cement and the cap. I asked her to call her back and ask about wether they took care of the leak. She gave her some kind of an anwser and said something to the effect that if it leaks again the will have to come back and seal it! You would think that's one of the things they would have done first when they came here in the first place. The she said the brick's may need to be replaced but she can't get any bricks right now. I'm really very leery of the business I don't expect to be calling them back again. It cost me $500.00 to have the chimney cemented and a cap put on, I'm 77 and I can't go up there and check their work out so I will have to take their word for what they say they did. + 1 moreWonderfully well. They are very courteous and professional. They arrived when they said they would and finished within the time frame they set.
Description of Work: Scaffolding, tear off top of chimney, replace brick, tuck point and replace brick where needed over the rest of the chimney. They did recommend a metal cap as opposed to the screen I currently have, advising that it also keeps out water. I felt this was a good addition to the original estimate.

+ 0 moreThis company was over twice as expensive as another estimate that I received, but they showed me why the chimneys needed to be rebuilt rather than patched up, and his explanations were clear, understandable, and he was quite knowledgeable. I went with this company because it was clear to me that if I went with the other company, I would be calling them back for more repairs one or two years down the road. They did it right and I'm comfortable that this will last much longer.
Description of Work: Replaced the top 6-8 rows of brick on two chimneys, tucked some other loose brick, built two new crowns, installed new chimney covers, and installed a hot water heater liner for one of the chimneys.

Description of Work: They removed damaged brick on the furnace chimney and the fireplace chimney and then rebuilt both chimneys. They did an excellent job even taking the time to make corrections in work done incorrectly by a previous company. They were timely in their work, cleaned up, and were very professional.

+ -1 moreThey were on time, very polite, friendly, and helpful. They pointed out some additional work that I should get done and explained how they would do it. They gave me an estimate and were not pushy. They were neat and careful. I would definitely hire them again. I plan to have them do the additional repair of the chimney crown in the summer months.
Description of Work: They inspected the chimney to see if it needed cleaned. It did not. They then installed a damper that would completely close & stop cold air from coming in through the fireplace.
