Stouts Property Maintenance LLC

Stout's started out alright, although they never came consistently for lawn mowing. The real trouble started when the snow began to fall and they charged us obscene amounts of money for deicer materials ($55/bag). They routinely charged us for 2 - 3 bags of deicer on each application, even though this is a residence zoned commercial - we have a pretty standard length driveway. They put down so much deicer that we had piles of deicer sitting on the driveway and sidewalks for days after the snow had melted. They also tore up the grass in several locations near the driveway from using such a large plow where common sense would have dictated use of a snow blower. When we called about having those areas repaired, we were initially told that they had already noted the damage done to the property and were planning to repair it at the end of the snow season. However, that proved untrue. When we called back to get more information about repairing the grass, we were told that the office manager we had been speaking to had been fired and Stout's was demanding immediate payment of any open invoices because their cashflow was poorly managed and they weren't sure if they could even stay open for another week. We paid up, but when they continued to use excessive deicer after our requests for them to back off on it, we began to hold out on payments pending a formal acknowledgement of the property damage they caused and written proof that they planned to come out and fix it. We were threatened immediately with legal action and small claims court, even though we repeatedly went back to them with offers to pay half of our open invoice and the full payment upon completion of repairs to our property. We ultimately ended up paying them in full without any repairs done and have severed all ties with them. Do not hire Stout's. They are unreasonable, expensive and do not repair damage they cause. 

They tore up our lawn on either side ot the drive way on multiple occations, took us making repeated calls to the to get them to agree to do repair work at end of season.
They loaded sidewalks, the drive, steps and porches with piles of ice melt chemical that were tracked heavily into the building.  Calls to Stouts to stop using the chemical on the porches and stairs close to the building were taken, acknowledged, but workers continued to ignore our repeated attempts to get them to stop.  And they charged us for each back of ice melt they put down.  Theiry excessive waste cost us $$.  We even took pictures and sent to owner, who didnt care.  Said we had a contract.  We had to spend our valuable time cleaning up behind these unprofessional guys.  
Owner was never willing to listen to customer's issues.
