"We feel we must respond to [member name removed]comments as they are totally incorrect and grossly misleading. Puckett Company never suggested that a new water heater was required nor did we ever install one for her. We do not know who did but it was not us. Our first encounter with this lady was 12/31/12 shortly after she had purchased the property. We were called to plumb in her washer and dryer and run a new gas line to the dryer. We also installed a new thermostat to her water heater as the one she had was missing (We were told the original one had been stolen). Total cost of labor and materials $592.50. We were asked by the Reality Agent for the property to quote for installing a Novi City water supply to the property. We submitted an approximate quotation for this 01/02/2013 Our next encounter 03/04/13, when we were called to locate a gas leak. After much research found that there was no gas leak. During this visit we did supply and install a new blower motor for her furnace as the existing one had burned out. We also solved a problem with her garbage disposal unit where we found a magnet was lodged within the mechanism. Cost of materials and labor $380.00 In August 2013 we were called to investigate a lack of water pressure. We found that the water filter was clogged with water sand. We cleaned the water filter and reinstalled it. However, we found that this was the wrong type of filter and we informed [member name removed] of this. A few days later we were called again for the same problem. Again we cleaned the filter and reinstalled it. Secondary to water sand problem we discovered major fault with the well tank, which in addition to the sand problem was causing the well pump to operate intermittently. No charge was made at this stage. 08/14/13. On our recommendation, we replaced the well tank with a new one. On this visit we also repaired a leak under the kitchen sink and again cleaned the filter. Cost of materials and labor $675.00 (We had discovered that the well was producing water sand which was mixing with the water, hence the filter getting clogged. We informed [member name removed] of this fact and she said it would not be a problem as she would use bottled water for drinking. It is a fact that a different type of filter would not clog as it would let the water sand through to the domestic water supply– we suspect that this is the type of filter now in use at the property). Throughout our relationship with [member name removed] she had complained about the smell and taste of her water. We suggested that she consider changing the water supply to City Mains Water. The cost of this would be $3,400 to Puckett Company for labor and materials + $3,345 payable to Novi City for connection charges etc. Detailed quotation submitted 09/05/2013 In conclusion, we do not understand [member name removed] comments or complaint. Puckett Company gave this customer honest reliable and professional service throughout."

"In response to [removed member name]. It would appear that time has clouded this gentleman’s recollection of the facts. The first point that should be mentioned is Puckett Company Rates. The company has always charged on a “Time and Material Basis” Our current rates are $100.00 per man, call out charge. This covers the first half hour per man hour worked. Thereafter the charge is $20.00 per man for each extra 15 minutes worked. There is a surcharge of $20.00 for the use of a sink or sewer auger machine. In addition to these costs there is a charge for any parts or materials supplied by the company. Exception to the above is when we have given a written quote based on a FREE estimate and assessment. All Puckett Company Inc. supplied Parts, Material and Labor is warrantied for one year. Work sites are always left in a clean and tidy condition and any debris created is removed from site and disposed of by the company. In 2002 the company’s rates were:- $75.00 call out + $18.00 per extra 15 minutes worked + $15.00 surcharge for a sink or sewer auger machine + a charge for any Parts or Material supplied. Blocked drains can never be a simple one off charge. It is impossible for anybody to know in advance what the cause of the problem is prior to arrival at the site. It is true to say that in the vast majority of cases that we are called to, are solved within 30 to 60 minutes. However there are occasions where the problem is major and the solution can run into several thousand dollars cost to solve. The case that [member name removed] refers to was not a simple blockage. Whereas he may well have assumed that it was going to follow the pattern as a previous call out. This time it transpired the problem was considerably more serious and something that was not going to be solved in one visit. We agreed with [removed member name] that we would return the following day to assess the situation and give him a price for the job. Later we received a message from him that he did not wish us to return. Consequently we invoiced him for the time we had spent on the job. It is correct that we have not been paid for the time we spent at his property. It is incorrect that we employed the services of a collection agency for the outstanding sum. Puckett Company does not and never have used such services. Our file on [removed member name] has long been closed and written off as a bad debt. In response to [removed member name] comments regarding his neighbor. Again his recollections of the facts are incorrect and appear to be deliberately malicious. In regards to whether [removed member name] would use us again is not relevant as Puckett Company would not offer its services to him."
