It turned out beautifully and people wonder where I got it. As they say, and quot;they don't make things like they used to,and quot; and I'm thrilled to be able to save something from my childhood. I'm getting ready to have them refinish several items that have seen better days so Yes, I'd recommend them.

All in all, it went very well. I brought the chair in to them in August and it was finished in October. The small bentwood chair had chipping paint on the wood and the upholstery was dull and worn out. They stripped and sanded the paint off, then refinished the wood to a lovely, lustrous mahogany finish. Then, I chose new upholstery which was perfectly installed. Jay (the owner) and Pat (the upholsterer) were great to work with - very nice and funny, and most importantly, very professional. as were the other guys employed by Jay. When I first saw my completely finished chair, all I could say was and quot;Wow!and quot;. It looks beautiful and I so happy with it. It went from being a poor little quirky, cute chair to a beautiful and comfortable work of art. I love it!
It took a bit longer than I had expected, but then I realized that they are very busy AND they do a perfect and professional job (all the sanding and stripping is done by hand). I was not in a hurry and it was so worth the wait.
The only difficulty was when I called to check on when it would be ready (2 or 3 weeks after I brought the chair in), I had an awkward and uncomfortable conversation with the secretary or whoever answered the phone. I guess she was having a bad day and her mind was on other things, but it left me with a not-so-good feeling for hours afterward.
I would definitely return if and when I need furniture refinishing services.

They were punctual and provided a fast estimate at a reasonable cost. The work was great, you can't even tell that work was done.

They were timely, they were able to work within the constraints that the moving company had set for the money they were going to pay for the repair. He tried to keep the price down for me. It was a very deep gouge and he fixed it the best he could and it is barely noticeable.

I THOUGHT THAT THE PEOPLE THAT WORKED THERE WERE NOT VERY FRIENDLY. THEY WERE AWFULLY RUDE TO ME WHEN I TALKED TO THEM IN PERSON AND ON THE PHONE. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH BUT, IN THE END MY TABLE TURNED OUT JUST GREAT.
