Fulll-service home inspection, testing, and consulting company built around the efforts of a father and son Civil Engineer team. We have been performing inspections since 1990. We are certified by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and hold a Builder license. We perform very thorough inspections and provide detailed Internet-based reports (visit our website to see our report). Our full inspections include a free termite inspection and a 400-page reference manual. In addition, we are fully insured carrying Errors & Omissions and General Liability insurance.

I called Dave because we are remodeling a 1918 home and I wanted to have the floor joists inspected. Dave was so great. He gave me recommendations for my joists, he walked me through basic home maintenance items that I was not doing and not even aware of. He also gave me information about additional items that I should consider outside of the scope of my project. He seems to really care about what he does and I am so appreciative. When we bought the home the inspection we had elsewhere was a joke. I will be recommending Dave to anyone needing inspections in the future.

I booked on line and Dave called me to confirm what we needed. We wanted an inspection to make sure if any structural issues needed to be fixed as our home was ~ 13 years old. Dave spent ~ 4 hours did a thorough inspection and educated us on several items which required attention as well as routine home maintainace issues. His report was comprehensive and nicely explained what needed attention.Overall, outstanding job and we would recommend him highly!

One of the most important aspects of purchasing a home is making sure you have a very detailed examination of the home prior to the purchase. This can, in all honesty, save/lose you tens of thousands of dollars. Recognizing the scope of the project, I wanted to be sure I had a reliable, knowledgeable, and competent home inspector. Dave was that professional. He took time to explain all he was going to do and allowed/invited us to be a part of the entire inspection. He would explain his findings and why he came to such and such a conclusion, which he reassured would all be on the finalized, written report. He wanted to make sure we understood his concerns and made it very welcoming to ask questions. His professional attitude of the work which he does is apparent and necessary but his mannerisms, and ability to make someone feel comfortable in the whole process is additionally reassuring. Even after the inspection he continued to communicate his concerns with greater detail. He also was not afraid to let us know if there was something which ought to involve another expert/evaluation. Truly was a wonderful experience and money well spent.

I am in the midst of a divorce and am considering buying the house, so needed an independent inspection to understand what potential big costs may lie ahead with keeping the house. Dave's inspection was extremely thorough and it took 3-4 hours to complete, which was good. He looked at all major parts of the house including structure, roofing, heating, cooling, interior, exterior, windows, etc. He was very good at not only "allowing" me to go along with him on his inspection, but also gave me good tips on maintenance and explaining to me everything that he found, since I really knew nothing about home maintenance. When he was done, he verbally summarized the main issues, then got a report to me by the next day, which had a summary of main issues as well as details and pictures of all issues for each category (structure, heating, exterior, etc.). This report was very helpful to me in making any purchasing decision and identifying the main, and secondary issues. He has a builder's license as well (not all do) and seemed very knowledgeable about everything. Overall, Dave did an awesome job in customer service, responsiveness, knowledge, and thoroughness. I would highly recommend Dave for any home inspection!

Dave was extremely thorough and found both small and large items that we are using to negotiate our purchase price. He was realistic in his recommendations, telling us what items were pertinent and what items were upgrades that could wait some time. Not only that, but he also spent time going through maintenance and upkeep items for items like the furnace, water heater, house fan, etc. Also he coordinated with a third party plumbing company to inspect the sewer lines for roots/clogging. Both my family & my fiance's family attended the inspection and Dave was so courteous and welcoming. Our dad's were asking various questions and pointing out different items and Dave was so professional and even added some humor to the process. I would highly recommend using Dave at Milestone Inspections for any future home inspection needs. He was great to work with and did a detailed job!

Cost includes well inspection and water testing. By far the best home inspection I've ever had. Very thorough. Excellent communication which continued with answers to follow-up questions after inspection. Also suggested contractors to follow-up on areas of concern. Highly recommend!!!

Dave was excellent on all counts - prompt, courteous, thorough, and professional. The inspection lasted about 3 hours (1,400 sq. ft.), and he answered every question I had as I shadowed him, and explained each area's assessment points without sounding condescending. Best of all, the report was delivered the next day. I highly recommend Milestone, Angie's List got it right on this one..

Dave arrived precisely on time, and provided a very thorough inspection. This is the 3rd home I've purchased, and Dave provided the necessary information, and responded to questions and concerns as we went through the home. He provided a same-day written report, as well as a more thorough report with pictures the next day. We were extremely satisfied with his work, and feel very comfortable moving forward with our purchase. Lastly, Dave was very conversant with the building practices for this home, and provided us with real-world information that will help us as we remodel.

aHe was punctual and went through everything in the house including the kitchen drawers and knobs. He noticed slightly sagging shelves which I would have not noticed ordinarily. He gave me the report about the sink drains, if they were draining slowly or not. He asked the renter if he had any problems in the house. It seemed like he went through every nook and cranny of the houses I had him inspected.

The other reviewers didn't lie - David is absolutely awesome! For one, we were in a bit of a time crunch with our seller, so David agreed to come in on his day off (Sunday) to do our inspection. He was so incredibly thorough with his inspection and took the time to explain all of the home's issues (sometimes even multiple times when I didn't quite understand) and answered all of our questions about the house and how to go about making repairs. The whole inspection took about 3 hours and the next day we had our full report. He has a sample of how he writes his reports on his website and the one we received was just as detailed as that one. I will be recommending him to everyone I know!

Dave worked me in the day after my call, even though he normally doesn't work on Saturdays. He spent a good 3 hours with us going through the place inside and out with a fine tooth comb, including roofing, attic crawl spaces, etc. Pointed out the good and bad with appropriate emphasis on what "issues" were more and less important. Gave a lot of good advice on what things could be handled ourselves to save money. Emailed a link to a very thorough inspection report, complete with annotated photographs, by Monday morning. Check out his sample report on his web site. Called him based on being the best-rated inspector in our area on Angie's list. Very happy I did. I feel good about buying the house and know what to take care of when the deal closes.
