Cleaning Authority

I told them what I needed to have done and they gave me an estimate. I am very happy with with. They come out every two weeks. They provide you with a sheet of what they are going to do. I feel the price is reasonable. They are flexible of what they can do and how often you have them.

We've been using them for bi-weekly cleaning and they are awesome. They are very friendly and very thorough. They clean my whole house and they are very thorough and do a very nice job.

Hired Cleaning Authority of Plymouth, MI.  They charge $10 extra for each of first two weeks so girls could “get place ready” for future cleanings.  Two girls were here for an hour the first time.  Soon after, one of the co-owners dropped by unexpectedly explaining that they check up on the girls.  She said  that the shower and kitchen cabinets were not cleaned well and stayed for two hours cleaning these spots.  The next week when the girls arrived they asked if there was a problem and said they heard I had complained.  I thought that was odd since I had not complained.  The second time they spent only 50 minutes cleaning.  I looked around to see what I thought had been missed since I knew she was coming back.  She had told me she would be back after the next cleaning because the first time did not meet her standards.  Cleaning Authority gives lists of what they do so I only included items that were on the lists.  I wasn’t planning on being home that afternoon so I called Cleaning Authority to tell them I would be home the next day so the co-owner could drop by then.  When the male co-owner answered the phone, he said many things to me that I thought were inappropriate.  He told me that I would never be satisfied with the cleaning from his company because I had so many complaints.  I had never complained and only made the list of things to look at after the second cleaning because the co-owner who visited my house said she was coming back.  He told me that the girls were not “perfect” and therefore anything that was on my list was not their fault for missing.  He repeated his statement that I would never be satisfied.  I was rather shocked since I had only completed the first two extra cost cleanings and I would think an owner would be interested in what I thought.  I would think a cleaning company owner would want to try and resolve issues rather than encourage a customer to stop using the service.  He also said that he apologized for the co-owner who came to my house told me because “she was wrong”.  The co-owner who came to my house had told me that the girls should have cleaned for at least two hours for each of the first two cleanings.  It was very confusing – almost like there were two different companies.  The co-owner on the phone also brought up that I had complained about the extra $10 charge for the first two times.  As I remember it, I had questioned what it was for as I would think would most people.  I obviously agreed to pay it.  I was fairly surprised that he brought this item from the past up.  After thinking about it, I wanted to speak with the co-owner who came to my house.  I called the office and asked for her, but only received a call back from the office saying they were returning my call.  I am no longer using this “service”.

I would recommend their services to others.

They charge me $100 for each cleaning service.  They usually send about three people at a time, and so they’re in and out in about an hour to an hour and a half, which is good because I have four small kids to keep in the house for a short amount of time.  That’s why it helps.  They’re fast but they’re not that thorough.  I wouldn’t say that they do a great job.  I will use their services again in the future.

The Cleaning Authority (TCA) has cleaned my house 3 times now. 



My house is about 1000 sq ft and is kept in good condition (for a bachelor).  I had an independent who had been cleaning for 20 years.  When she left, I had no idea where to turn.  I tried a few Craigslist ads but couldn't find what I was looking for -- they were not punctual, missed cleaning important items, etc. 



I finally paid for an Angie's list subscription and contacted TCA.  Chad, the owner, came out quickly and assessed the job.  He quoted me a very fair price for the work to be performed.  Additional cleaning items were negotiated up front and for example if I want my basement cleaned this time, I just add $12 to my payment and leave a note and they'l take care of it.



I talked to one cleaning service who quoted me over $100 for each cleaning and when challenged, responded, "you get what you pay for".



Each cleaning day, TCA has arrived on time and ready to work, bringing their own chemicals and tools.



So far I am very pleased with TCA and would recommend them to anyone!

Update:  I have now been utilizing services from The Cleaning Authority for over 4 years.  I am very pleased with the service/value they provide.  4 years later I will still recommend them!

They always send two or three people because I have four smockets.  They are usually out of the house within an hour.  I don't have to keep my house completely picked up for five hours.  They are good in the areas that they do; but I don't like that they do everything so fast.  It is always a surface level clean, and not deep clean.  It is not as good as, I would do because I would never do it all in an hour.

We have used the Cleaning Authority off and on for the past 2 years. We are (and continue to be) very satisfied with the service overall. They do not subcontract, so the same two girls clean our house every two weeks. We've left notes asking them to focus on specific areas that needed attention and they did a great job.

They have always done an excellent job. Any time we have a problem they take the time to correct it. They have been better about fixing it than we have about pointing out the issues. The prices are about average in the area.

They are not as careful as they were at first they dont always get the floors clean or the sinks. I have a standard monthly cleaning day and they are always on time.

Performed incomplete jobs. When contacted, no real attempt was made to correct the significant lack of cleaning and no money was refunded. An employee from the company later told me that he had left the company because of the bad service they provided.

Cleaning Authority has cleaned our home for several months. Very nice, professional and responsive to requests. I really like the cleaning sheet they leave behind, it contains information about what was cleaned and what is scheduled for next visit.

I have a yearly contract with the company they do a pretty good job cleaning but they always forget to lock my door when they leave. I have only had one ore two occasions when they have been late. They do ok but just not great.

The Cleaning Authority provides their service on a regular schedule for an agreed on cost. The ladies performing the cleaning left nothing to be desired as the quality of their work was outstanding. This is a reliable and trustworthy organization that I would recommend to anyone who wishes to take advantage of the best in service.
