I am very pleased with Chris and the work that he did. Not only did he give me the lowest bid, but he scheduled the job for within 2 weeks of his bid visit. They completed the work quickly and neatly. I went from 6 inches of insulation to 16 inches in 3 hours. Chris is punctual, professional, and personable. When he and his helper showed up for the job, the first thing Chris asked was what the situation was with my cats. He wanted to make sure that I had them confined for their safety, which I did. I appreciate that. They used drop-clothes and cleaned up after themselves. I would absolutely recommend Arctic Insulation to anyone.

He was the least expensive quote. I liked and trusted him right away. It's his own business and he did it himself with a helper. He got it done and it was wonderful. The amount of sound has lessened. If I needed it, I would use him again.

owner/operator Chris did everything himself with a helper-took 2 days but was a lot less than 4 others I contacted. Did good job and cleaned up and was pleasant to work with-what else could you want.

After several quotes for insulating my home, I went with Arctic Insulation. Their quote was very competitive and provided for the exact services I wanted. Chis and Kevin were very accommodating and professional in their conduct. In fact, Chris spent a lot of time with me explaining what he was doing and answered all the questions I asked. He made sure that I was satisfied and even went a little bit beyond by doing a couple of extras that he uncovered while installing the insulation. Even then he held to his original quote that he provided during his visit for a free estimate. Chis was extremely respectful of my house and cleaned up old insulation and extra materials before they left. He also helped me fill out the various rebate forms by providing the information I needed to submit them to the utility. All in all, I highly recommend Arctic Insulation if you are in the market for insulation.

I got the quote on Thursday and the service was performed on the following Monday. Compared to other quotes I got they did not put in covers for the recessed lights, but they were very responsive, could do the work on my tight schedule and the price was right. I certainly would consider Arctic Insulations again for an attic insulation.

Arctic Insulation had a fairly reasonable price. They did an ok job as far as I can see from the attic accesses. Caution, they did not offer to do or suggest any air bypass sealing which is very important. I spent a few weekends in the attic sealing around plumbing vents, chimney chase, electrical boxes, top plates (especially over air return cavities), soffits, ect, before I had them come with the insulation.
The day if the install I had specifically told them to be careful around the flexible aluminum bath ducting so they didn't crush it. Within the first 15 minutes of blowing the helper stepped on one of the bath vents and crushed it flat and didn't even notice. It was right near one of the attic accesses so I told them I would fix it the next day after they finished. After that the main guy took over the blowing and told me I could not be up in the attic while they were working. That made me a bit nerviness but I did then leave them alone the rest of the time.
I also had to point out that the helper guy didn't do the baffling correctly over a bay area with stepped roofing. The main guy helped to redo it better but it still wasn't great. I think it will vent ok however.
Update: Upon actual inspection of the insulation install I discovered that they did not do a good job at all. The insulation was piled up at the entrance 18and quot; deep but in various other places it was as thin a 3and quot;. They oblivious tried to make it look like there was a lot of insulation at the entrance but did little to make sure there was the full depth all over the attic. Over the sun room it looks like they just sprayed a little bit in to cover the existing fiberglass. Over the dining room they have it heaping on the side near the entrance and then almost none on the other side.
I tried to call them a few weeks ago to ask them about this and see if they would remedy the situation so far they have not gotten back to me.

Response from ARCTIC INSULATION
"[Member Name] was very unreasonable to deal with . He took over 4 months to schedule after the quote. Would not give us an inch of room to get set up to do our job was even in the attic trying to tell us how to do the job We have been doing for 20 years . He almost fell thru the drywall ! After shooing him out we finished without incident. He claims we didn't blow enough insulation after the fact , but he wanted the empty insulation bags which proved we installed the correct amount. I have never dealt with any customer like him in all my career. I don't think he would be happy if we installed gold bullion in his attic"

Chris was prompt, quick, courteous, and tidy when he insulated my little foreclosed home. He came to my house on a Sunday afternoon to give a quote and then he adhered to his quoted price. In addition, he provided forms for me to sign to recoup some of the costs from the Consumers Energy Window and Insulation program. I hadn't really known about this program, so he provided copies of his receipt and all the forms I needed to apply for the rebate. Overall, Chris and his crew did an outstanding job. I would hire him again in a second.
