Description of Work: Client originally called to have for ceiling fan/light remove and replaced. Original estimate was fire 2 hours based on state lines and intricacy of fan/light. Upon removing fan, I saw that hot lines had melted and the its were fused. Common wire had melted also and fused ends. Lines were threadbare and in need of repair/replacement. Advised client. Wrapped lines with electrical tape and insta Installed fan. Tested and retested all oprarions of fan and light to client's satisfaction. Noted that wall switch is not to be used with fan, per manufacturer. Told client the wall switch is faulting and does not completely cut power. Client agreed to get a new switch for future install. 13:45 - 17:45 = 4 hours. 4 x 80 = $160 Client paid by check. Thank you, -w.

Description of Work: client original problem was lack of power to certain rooms and fixtures. problem was not breaker box, but a subpanel breaker box. I left an indicator on the breaker box and explain what must be done to allow power in those areas. I checked for ground errors and there are no ground connections to the ceiling fan or the outlets tested. second problem was Lift Chair not working properly. Explained to client how to use Lift Chair and what codes mean on the lift chair display. key was not in on position and chair was not fully resting on charging base. client complained of ghost signal turning on his light and fan at ceiling fan. he suggested it was the neighbor's and that had been going on for 10 years. through great effort I was able to locate his older model Hampton Bay dip Dipset switch receiver and reset it to match the remote. tested it with his neighbor's fan and there were no problems. gave client extra information on the lift chair and on a reliable furnace repair person. -w.

Description of Work: "Shower not turning to bathtub." Cause: oxidation from small leak that had spread to drywall behind clients' tub tile. Attempted to use clients replacement faucet but it was not a match; purchase one at Lowe's for client. Replaced and tested water diverter, replaced handles on cold and hot water. Caulked faucets. did not change internal Plumbing because it requires flame soldering and would exceeded estimate given to client and create a return trip. Recommend coating drywall behind tile with waterproof paint. recommend at some point replacing plumbing internals with those purchased today. Thank you! If satisfied, please leave a review.
