Lake Electronics Group, LLC. With more than 30 years experience in the Electronic Security and Home Electronics industry,is proud to co operate one of our regions only fully automated Central Monitoring Centers, where emergency signals are processed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by trained security dispatch personnel.

"If I could give this company a -10 stars, I would. I was a satisfied B-Safe Security customer for more than 20 years. I knew the owner and his wife personally. When the company was bought out/sold to Lake Electronics, the monitoring phone calls stopped when our alarm went off, our calls of concern re: the installed technology were never returned, and when we sold the home that had the monitoring system, Lake Electronics sent my remaining contract time to collections, even though I had sent a certified letter of cancellation of services 30 days in advance of the next billing cycle. After having to re-prove that I had sent a letter of cancellation, Lake Electronics sent me a correspondence indicating that I had a $0 account balance, and yet several weeks later, they sent me a statement from their collections department stating that I owed them $1,500 for the balance of the contract, something that the owner of B-Safe Security would NEVER have done. They also indicated that the contract was tied to me personally and not to the home that had the monitoring system (Is this even legal?? The contract I signed said no such thing.), indicating that I was obligated to install their horrible service in my next home. Stay far away from this company! They are all about money and care nothing about your safety or monitoring concerns."

Central Vacuum Cleaners questions, answered by experts

Regular cleaning, sealing, and inspections help identify problems early and maintain aesthetics.

While caulking is handy for quite a bit of jobs, it’s still limited. Any crack or gap larger than 1/4 inch is best left for a more intensive repair job. When you hire house painters, they should run a thorough check to see what they need to repair before they start the job.

Large repairs that caulking typically won’t do well with include cracks or holes larger than a 1/4 inch, rotted wood, or metal surfaces, such as garage doors.

Routine service inspections on your central vacuum cleaner help keep your vacuum running at its best while helping to avoid costly repairs. It’s best to schedule service inspections every two to three years for a professional central vacuum service to examine your unit. If you have several pets in your home or have a lot of dirt and dust, it’s best to schedule your inspections every one to two years.

Most home warranties cover either home appliances or home systems, and some cover both. Appliance packages will usually include protection for all kitchen appliances, like refrigerators, ovens, stoves, built-in microwaves, and dishwashers, with some covering washing machines and dryers. Systems-only plans normally cover the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as most of the components. Combination plans cover the major appliances in addition to home systems.

The average cost for central vacuum cleaner repair is $310, though prices can range from $120 to $500. Your total cost will depend on the type of repair needed and the type of central vacuum you own.

A minor motor repair, like lubrication, only costs around $50. However, if you need to replace your motor, you’ll be looking at a much higher price tag with a total of $100 to $500. Other fixes, like electrical work, are charged by the hour, which ranges from $15 to $55 per hour.
