This project had to be done so we would be able to use the classroom the following Sunday. J&M came in and removed the wall, installed a support beam, and finished the project so the two rooms looked like they had always been a single room. Some states require carpenters to be licensed to perform forms of carpentry, such as framing. The license requires a certain amount of experience and to pass an examination. Baseboards don’t have to be nailed into studs. However, nailing them into studs adds to their stability. When studs aren’t available, you can secure them with drywall nails directly into the drywall and adhesive. Always aim to nail into studs, especially in high-traffic or impact-prone areas.
