"Andrew was great! We needed a concrete slab put in our backyard, and he communicated well. The concrete slab is without flaw and he was priced fairly. I would highly recommend Andrew and team. He is a hard worker and pays attention to details."

"For the past several years my driveway has been destroyed by the roots of a 50 ft. tall pine tree which had broken through the existing concrete, resulting in large chunks, making it an uneven and unsafe surface. For this project I needed some serious excavation to not only remove the pieces of concrete, but also dig out the very large pine tree roots. Tresemer Concrete & Excavating came to the rescue, completing my 100 ft. long driveway in only one day. I was absolutely so impressed with their work. "People like Ed McDonald are the reason we left the big city to a smaller town. Nothing more than a verbal agreement and his crew completed a 5000sq ft job in one day to include sealing it. My wife was so excited she wanted me to get out of bed just to see the reflection from the street light. I only wanted half the driveway done this year but Ed "made me an offer I couldn't refuse". Couldn't have asked for an all around better experience."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

If your garage floor is heavily soiled or stained, then it’s a good idea to powerwash it with a concrete cleaner before sealing. This process will remove dirt and debris to help the new sealer bond to the concrete properly, and it will also improve the look of your sealed garage floor. After power washing your floor, make sure you let the concrete dry completely before applying sealant, usually for 24 to 48 hours.

If your epoxy application ended up a bit messy and left spills behind, there are several ways to clean epoxy off of a concrete floor. You can use a power washer with at least 3,000 PSI. However, it may be easier to use a scraping tool or an acidic cleaner, like vinegar, to remove unwanted epoxy.

If the entire floor has epoxy and you want to remove just excess epoxy stains, these methods could still strip parts of the epoxy floor. Move carefully and in small areas to minimize damage, or call a pro for an expert finish.

One of the most important factors to consider when buying a pressure washer is not just psi but also the machine’s overall cleaning power. This is based on both the psi and the GPM. Look for a cleaning rating, or effective cleaning unit (ECU), of up to 8,000 for most residential cleaning projects that require a pressure washer.

When hiring a professional to pressure wash your home, it's crucial to choose a company that is bonded, licensed, and insured. This protects you from liability if any accidents or property damage occur during the service; otherwise, the cost could fall on you. Before making a decision, vet at least three different contractors. Conduct thorough research by reading customer reviews, looking at examples of their previous work, and verifying the company's license. Before signing a contract, ensure you receive a written estimate that details all project costs. It's also wise to ask potential contractors a series of questions to gauge their professionalism and experience, such as:

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • What are your credentials?

  • What cleaning methods do you use?

  • Do you have a workmanship warranty and insurance?

  • What is your availability?

  • What is your policy if you damage my property?

  • How long will the job take to complete?

  • How much do you charge?

  • What is your cancellation policy?

  • Do you offer a customer satisfaction guarantee or any additional services?

It depends on the type of surface, but if you’re preparing to pressure wash a driveway, you’ll start by using a broom or leaf blower to get rid of dirt, leaves, and other debris. Then, move any nearby items (like outdoor furniture and potted plants) and cover in-ground plants with a tarp or plastic sheet. After that, you can apply degreaser spray or another pretreatment solution to any stains and scrub them with a stiff brush before pressure washing.
