Hoover does not give price estimates over the phone. That should have been my first warning that the price was going to be over the top. I cannot help thinking that I got ripped off. I purchased my toilet and had it in the house when the plummer arrived. When he got there he estimated the install at 590 bucks. I was thinking that is really high. That also did not include the cost of replacing the seal at the bottom of the toilet (after all the toilet was original to the house) My friend also bought her toilet from home depot and paid for them to install it at 225.00, but guess who did the install, Hoover Electric. So even though the tech was good and service was excellent, I will not be using them again.

Hoover Electric came out the same day called. The electricians were courteous, professional and very competent. I would definitely call them again. They also offered an online coupon and we used it and they gave us a free electrical home inspection and offered suggestions for future improvements.

Friendly, courteous, timely, conscientious, efficient, effective. Good to have the technician's picture in hand before arrival so there are no surprises. Did a great job, very professional. Not so good. This company diagnosed an inducer motor as faulty when it is clearly still functioning fine. At this time, I'm assuming this was done to summons a return visit to replace a component that didn't need replacing in order to profit off what they thought was consumers lack of knowledge. I called and left a message on the technicians VM stating that I cycled the furnace myself and watched/took video of the inducer motor functioning perfectly, but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt in case there was something wrong that I just wasn't seeing. No return call, so what does that tell you?...

He was nice enough to put my toilet seat on at no extra charge. The cost wasn't too much.

We only got a quote because the service was going to be too expensive. The quote received was $2400. We paid $59 for the site visit and quote.

I was trying to sell an office building and then all of a sudden, we had electrical issues. U had a heck of a time finding anybody who would even come out in a timely basis. I needed them out the next day because the building is up for sell and I couldn’t sell it if it didn’t have electricity. It kind of dampers things. I had a heck of a time, everybody was giving me the following week to come out. I can’t do that I wanted somebody tomorrow. They saved my patootie. Everything was an “A”, it really was, they were great. I didn’t have any complaints at all.

We really didn't have any comparison for the price. I would use them in the future. I would recommend them.

Although it took almost two hours, the cause was found and corrected.

Great, we have used them before for other jobs, and they are always prompt and provide great service.

We had them come provide an estimate, for which they charge a $59 estimate fee. They were very prompt, able to come the same day, and very friendly. We were told the estimate would be emailed within 24 hours, which is was. That's when things turned bad....the estimate was $4,000 higher than the three, yes three, other plumbers we had met with. All the other plumbers were within $100 of each other, and all were licensed and insured. Obviously, we went with one of the other guys, but we still cannot figure out how they came up with this extremely high estimate. I guess they just make money on the $59 estimate fee, so they don't really have to do any plumbing work. Who knows?!?

Multiple issues with furnace at different times but they were able to resolve at each visit.

Company DOES NOT Service Certain "urban" areas, Discriminatory I feel it is and not only does it hurt the potential business to the company, it also hurts the Customers that needs services.

Called them out and they showed up then decided to start the work and then not finish the job

I had a fixture that the fluorescent light bulb had blew out. I went to Home Depot and bought a new bulb, came back and that bulb blew. Plus, I wanted 5 outlets to be updated. It didn?t go well. The coupon said, 4 hours of electrical work for $249.99, something like that, I did not purchase it. I was on the phone with Hoover at the time and told them I was looking at the coupon at the same time and I asked them if I needed to purchase it. She said ?no, you will be fine!? I was speaking to Daniel. So, I made an appointment to have a guy come out. When the guy came out, he looked at the work and said that Hoover did not honor that coupon for $249.99 for 4 hours of work, because he makes $288 an hour. That was number one! Number two! He said that for him to pull down that fixture to look at it, to figure out what was the problem & to update the 5 electrical outlets would be well over $1,000. Which to me didn?t make since, all he had to do was ma?am, it would be easier if you go get another fixture and I could update it for this amount. I felt like he was price gouging and was not willing to work with me. He was not patient or people friendly. They didn?t do the work, I told them to forget about it, get your things and go your next location. His attitude was so ugly! So, I had another company come in and bought a new fixture & rotated all my lights for $370. I don?t want to grade everybody so harshly, because Daniel & another young lady from Hoover was very nice. But, his attitude was really sucky! The good thing that I would say is that the appointment was scheduled between 12 ? 4 Daniel called me that morning at 7 to say they had a lot of cancelations and that they could come to my home at 8:00 in the morning. That was a good thing, but unfortunately, I could not do that because, I told Daniel that I work and I was coming home for lunch to meet and greet him. They need to have some kind of communication with Angie?s List, so they don?t lose customers. Like we need to purchase the deal first then call the Hoover. The young man that came out needs people skills.

It went very well. The organization seems to be just that, a good organization. They were very responsive. When I called I talked to office help. One of the main contacts in their Hoover office, is Virginia. She was very responsive and helpful providing information and documents to myself that were required. The office had a rep come out to give me an estimate, Mike Lawn. Two factors about Mike, he doesn't just provide the estimate he also does the work. Contact with him was very good. Initial contact was on 7/20 and they started replacing the unit on 8/23. One of the things during the process was we were going to be provided with a $50 coupon, however the work was done and we paid the bill and I had forgotten about the coupon. I called the office and talked to manager, Markus, there and he sent us a $50 check. The quality of the work, the finished product, the details were attended to and I couldn't find any issues with the quality or appearance with the work. The unit has worked wonderfully and speaks to their professionalism and knowledge.

horrible. They came out got authorization to work on project then left half way through. Never showed back up or returned my phone calls . UNREAL

They responded quickly and sent plumber, Jeff, out to do the work. He was very pleasant, gave me three options for fixing it, and then completed the work the same day.

What happened was Sears couldn't do what I needed them to do to fix my dishwasher so I got on Angie's List and found these guys and I called them and I talked about this. They never gave me a quote. They went to the house, the tenant was there, and the guy says it's going to cost me $450.

To start off, he wasn't very likable or friendly and he didn't seem to have a concern for Angie's List even though he is offering these deals to members. Usually the plumbers we have hired are very kind, as they are serviceman, who are coming into people's homes to provide a service. His attitude toward an Angie's List member was not very good. Also, the price he gave us for the garbage disposal was entirely too much. He charged $223 for the replacement of the garbage disposal, on top of the $49 service call to come out, and also charged us $65 just the change out the soap in our soap dispenser. Its now been a day later, and I just really don't feel good about it and cannot recommend him to others after my experience.
