Bought a home in Florida and decided to have an inspection at my Michigan home to alert us to any repairs that might be needed prior to putting the house up for sale. Lon was prompt and efficient. He found a few things that needed attention and even made some great suggestions to prepare the house for sale. Went from top to bottom and spent lots of time with great attention to detail. He sent us a report of all his findings which we can use as a selling aid. Very knowledgeable and professional. Would highly recommend. Well worth the investment.

This was my second time using Lon Grossman for a home inspection and I couldn't be happier with his work. Lon provides an in-depth inspection and covers all potential home issues. We spent over two hours going through the house, inspecting the plumbing, the electrical, the structure itself, and the mechanicals. I'd much rather be fully informed about the condition of a house before I buy than learn of issues after closing. What you do with the information is up to you. Lon doesn't kill deals, uninformed buyers kill deals by knit-picking minor issues with the sellers.

Lon arrived on time for the home inspection. A few things we found concerning: 1) He gave us a list of things that he does not do that was not described over the phone. He does not inspect the roof, which we did not expect. He also does not check fireplaces and electronic parts to the house. Sad for us, since this is a custom house with multiple sound systems and electronic things such as heated floors. 2) His demeanor was very insulting and condescending. He expected us to follow him around at the hip and when I went to go to the bathroom and ask the realtor something he yelled at me. 3) He told me and my husband some very inappropriate jokes of a sexual nature that I was very uncomfortable with. 4) For inspecting a custom home, he really was inexperienced. He told us many things did not work, only to find that he just did not know how to turn them on. Maybe he is better with older, standard homes. 5) He gave us a handwritten inspection that did not make a whole lot of sense. In past inspections, I have received a set of pictures with a description for each picture noting what was concerning. He just seems about 20 years behind in his reporting. 6) I would have fired him within a few minutes of meeting him, but the seller was very difficult to schedule time for the inspection and I did not want to go without an inspection.

Mr. Grossman is very thorough as my husband says he is a seller's worst nightmare and a buyer's dream. He is prompt, professional and extremely knowledgable. This was actually the second home he inspected as our first deal (September 2011) fell through. When we found our present home, we did not hesitate to hire him again. He explains thoroughly any problems and offers suggestions/solutions and provides names of other service providers to follow up on other issues that may need attention. You will receive your report at the end of the inspection and photos later that day. He is a early bird and most likely will be there before you. Mr. Grossman also provides copies of his columns which addresses issues with home repair, etc. our favorite part is when he tags the furnace, etc. with what should be done when the season changes. It was a pleasure doing business with Mr. Grossman and would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone. He is honest, fair, and competent and worth every penny!

I was really impressed with his extensive knowledge and equipment used in the inspection. He welcomed all questions before during and after the inspection. He reiterated many times that if we have questions in the future to not hesitate to call him. He also left us with an extensive report and articles on how to deal with some of the issues he found. He also was able to recommend quality contractors to deal with certain issues we had. He was not highly recommended by our Realtor due to his nitpicking and tearing apart of houses. Which made me want him even more.

They are great. The owner/inspector is fantastic. It was worth every penny and I would recommend him to anyone.

THEY WERE VERY METICULOUS WITH THEIR INSPECTION. I THOUGHT THE PRICE THAT THE COMPANY GAVE ME WAS PRETTY FAIR. THEIR SERVICES ARE EXCELLENT. I HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM.
