"Heather and her team did a deep clean on their first visit to my condo in Harbor Springs. When we arrived here on Friday you cannot imagine how delighted I was by the results. Sparkling clean, windows and screens (imagine that) immaculate, floors polished, cupboards, woodwork, crown moldings, all cleaned and fresh. Heather and her team actually move furniture to do the rugs! (Many housekeepers “clean around” objects and dust around items on tables and shelves). Heather and the Maid to Clean service will be doing routine cleaning every two weeks and deep cleaning 3x’s a year. PS. They put things back in the right place.???"

"We hired Red Bucket for our post construction clean for our apartment complex. They were flexible with our ever changing timeline, fast, efficient, and detail oriented. Their prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of service we received. We proceeded to hire them full time to clean the common areas and clean our vacant units prior to new move ins. We have now been working with Red Bucket for over 2 years now and we are still receiving the same level of quality, friendly service and excellent communication that we received on day one. They even have taken on another property of ours. Their team truly cares about the service they provide and allows us to not worry about any cleaning needs we have. We would highly recommend the team at Red Bucket for your cleaning needs."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Roof cleaning isn’t a necessity, but it can drastically improve your home’s curb appeal and even prolong the life of your roof, so it’s often a great investment. It’s especially a good idea if shaded parts of your roof experience algae or moss growth, which can damage the shingles and hold water against them, increasing the risk of a roof leak.

Ideally, you will tackle removing algae from your roof during spring or summer when the weather is drier and warmer. Because algae tends to grow during the colder and wetter months, you want to tackle this project before the temperature drops to hopefully keep it from coming back at all.

It is not advisable to use salt on your roof to prevent or remove ice dams. It’s not only mostly ineffective but can also cause serious damage to your roof itself. Salt can rust metal, damage masonry, pit shingles, and cause runoff that’s damaging to plants and animals.

It is possible to wash your own roof, but we don’t recommend it. First, getting up on any roof is dangerous without proper safety equipment, especially if wetting a metal roof and making the surface slick. Additionally, it’s easy to damage your roof or force water between roof seams if you use a power washer, which can lead to property damage. Hiring a professional roof cleaner will save you time, keep you safe, and ensure that your roof looks new again without damaging it in the process. Plus, roof cleaning is a relatively affordable home improvement project.

No, you should not use a pressure washer or power washer on roof shingles, including asphalt shingles. The high water pressure is too strong and can damage the shingles by loosening their adhesive, forcing water underneath them, or causing them to fall off. The safer and better option is soft washing with a pump sprayer. For best results and to avoid damage, consider hiring a local roof cleaner to clean your shingles safely.
