3/28/2011 Interior painting begins 4/15/2011 First letter to Eric Price outlined each days work and the price paid. Also outlined the cost to repair the poor quality work rush job. 5/1/2011 Second letter sent to "owner" Eric Price (Priceless Painting): I have tried to call you several times and I have left messages. Since you won?t return my phone calls and your voice-mail box is often full, I have no choice but to contact you, again, by letter. The work done on the interior of my home was left unfinished and the prep work was of poor quality. As you quickly realized, removing a popcorn ceiling was challenging without experience and the necessary equipment to do the job correctly and safely. Everyday my house was a complete mess!!! Apparently you had no experience with popcorn ceilings. The prep work was not finished when you simply painted right over the rough spots in the hall and LR (see attached photos). Once you were paid, you also told me that you would be back Saturday and Monday to finish the job ? you never returned or called to explain (10 days later you called to say you had an emergency). It only takes 15 seconds to leave a message! Business conduct is unprofessional!! Other painters and contractors who have reviewed your work consider this a ?poor quality rush job? and looks like you just wanted to ?get your money and get out of here?. I have taken pictures of the poor work and a professional painting company has also documented the repair work that is needed to correct the work you did. You were constantly over-promising and under-delivering! Based on your performance on the interior, I cannot allow you to paint the exterior. Please return my deposit for the exterior painting. As of 5/8/2011 - Even after the second letter, Eric Price has not returned my deposit to paint the exterior of my house! He has also not contacted me to discuss the situation. During one incident at my house, Eric claims to "shut down" when there is a problem. How can you possibly work with someone who can't resolve a problem professionally??? Eric Price thinks very highly of his abilities and his work, when in fact, it is mediocre at best! While his initial price may seems great, you will pay more in the long run to repair the damage you can't see right away. He talks a lot about trust and integrity, but the bottom is that his actions speak louder than his words!! As of 6/10/2011 - After several calls and letters to Eric Price, he has made no attempt to call or return the $600 deposit for painting the exterior of my house (no work ever done on the exterior). It feels like he has simply stolen the money!
