Hi hired Mr Sparky for an elsctrical job and Mike came exactly on time and completed the job in no time. He was very good, and was very respectful and professional and thoughtful.  The price was lower than I expected also. I thought the job would require rewiring but he found the solution and it did not require that.  He had the right parts with him and was able to do it within an hour. I would recommend Mr Sparky and especially Mike.

They are always punctual, do their work efficiently and I also appreciate how they never leave a mess. The fixed pricing is very easy to work with. This company is fabulous, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Originally the generator was installed by another company. Mister Sparky purchased the company and now handles the installation and warranty work.
Mr. Sparky's/Laplante Electric is the worst business experience we've ever had. We called Shawn on a regular basis for updates and he did not respond. Skippy was downright arrogant and misdiagnosed the problems more than once. He always made us feel as though we were over-reacting in our worries. He needs work on his interpersonal skills.
The reason this generator was purchased is because we do not live in the house year-round. We are senior citizens and live in another state and had this installed for piece of mind. We've had to travel back and forth numerous times over the last three years to be available for Mister Sparky. We also travelled back and forth to check on the house when we knew that the generator was waiting for repairs.
The system was installed three years ago and has not worked properly since day one. The house is located in a very high water table area. We've installed two electric sump pumps to keep the home dry. The generator was installed specifically to handle the water problem in case of a power outage. If the power is lost it would have a disastrous effect on the house.
A letter was written to Mister Sparky about our concerns in regards to the generator not functioning properly. They were unresponsive to our concerns and needs.

They were prompt and informative. We got an appointment only 2 days from when we called. Work was done on same day they came for estimate. Good experience.

They were punctual, extremely professional and completed the task very efficiently. They coordinated with our propane supplier and electric company, in advance, and made sure everything was scheduled properly. By the end of the day, the hookup was complete and we were extremely satisfied. Overall, a terrific job.

The one thing that I didn't like was that he charged me to come out to my house on time. He charged like $35 or something to be here on time. Honestly that wasn't made clear to me when I first called and made the appointment with a woman. She was the secretary or some sort and she may have said it very quickly. When he got here he explained to me that it was a charge for him to be here on time. The quality of the work was fine. He was punctual but I got charged for it.

Mister Sparky Company is the number one rated electrical company in the area. Their electricians did an excellent job. They were very professional. They were very responsive. I would use them again in the future.

They did a great service.  I will recommend them highly.  I have used them a year ago.  They seemed very fair and reasonable.  The fellow who came out was a very diligent man.  My house is 25 years old.  One of the rooms in the cellar, we turned into a room for grand kids, so they can just decorate anyway they like, and they can hang out in there.  I found that whenever I plug anything into the outlet, it used to have a spark.  It was not a good choice for the children to be around.  He came out and said that indeed it could burn the whole house down.  He pointed out other issues.  He was very thorough.  I felt much safer after he left, so I trusted his judgment.  He continues his education to keep his knowledge up.

DUE TO MY INITIAL SIGNING OF THE MR. SPARKY AGREEMENT AND PAYMENT. I was pleased at the response time and accomodating nature of the business.They were back out the next day to remedy the problem at no cost. They stand by their contract even though initially I thought it was expensive. But then I did not get any other estimates.

Arrived on time and was very professional on both the quote and work. Took care not to track dirt into house with coverall and shoe guards. Provided a detailed quote before work began. Initial job took a bit longer than initial estimate; however, they came back the next day to finish up and held to initial quote.

Professional, prompt, personable, courteous and thorough. Superior customer service, start to finish!

Power outage in part of our home during a rain storm. Turned out to be an outlet on the outside of the house was not sealed properly and was causing water to seep in and cause a short. Mr Sparky sent a rep out within 24 hours. He gave us a quick assessment of the potential cost. Then he spent at least an hour checking our circuit box and wiring throughout the affected area of the home. Once he determined the issue he replaced the box. Very professional but a little pricey. You pay an upfront service fee based on the potential problem they are working on....good side there isn't a "by the hour" charge....so it probably works out in the end.

Our apartment building needed an electrical outlet to install a gas heater. It's an old building and the only location available was in a difficult place to run wire too. They did the job for the price quoted, even though it likely took them longer than what is normal for a job like this. They cleaned up afterwards and the tenant had no idea that any work had been done. We were happy with the way the work turned out.

I called, they came that afternoon and repaired the problems. End of story.

Dealing with the company was easy. They set up an appointment right away, I got a call to confirm that morning and a half hour before they got to my house. We went over what I wanted done and got a price right there. The work got done in a day and a half, everyone I dealt with was professional and pleasent. I'm very happy with the work I wish I had called them first and a year earlier.

I called Mister Sparky, spoke with a pleasant and informative 'service professional', made an appointment, and received an email confirmation of my appointment. The morning of the appointment I received a confirmation phone call and the electrician arrived at exactly the scheduled time. Joe, the electrician, was pleasant, informative, and extremely competent - He explained exactly the work needed to complete the job, answered all of my questions, and gave me a fair and easy to understand quote. As Joe did the work he also gave me an overview of Mister Sparky's service philosophy - which they clearly demonstrated.

Went great, he even lowered the original estimate after discovering it was a smaller problem than he originally thought.

Man arrived on time. Spent time reviewing the job and explaining how it would be carried out. Got out contract and inserted a charge just for showing up on time (about $40.00!) - I objected and got it removed. Tried to sell me on an annual contract - I refused. Finally got contract set up so work could start - although cost was higher than I'd expected it to be. Job proceeded fine and work was completed professionally - but would have gone faster without all the hard sell. My preference is for worker to show up, do the job, collect payment and leave without too much fuss and bother.

I liked Bill from the moment I met him during the estimate process, so much so in fact that I didn't get a second quote (Which I normally do!) on the job. He was honest and forthright and the price was reasonable. He showed up at my house right on time and immediately put shoe protectors on his feet to protect my floor. He was professional and friendly the entire time he was working in my basement. He did a fantastic job explaining what he was doing and cleaned up his workspace when he was finished. Overall, an outstanding experience! The cost of the job was a little higher than the initial estimate but that was because I didn't buy all of the parts I needed for the job (switches, etc.)

I called Mister Sparky and explained the simple task I needed done. I also asked if they had Saturday hours, due to my job schedule not permitting me to be at home during the week for service. The person on the phone, Judy, said that if a technician was willing they would be able to accommodate my Saturday hours request. She tentatively scheduled me for Saturday, took down all my necessary information, and told me she'd get back to me. Within 24 hours she got back w/ me to confirm that Saturday at 8am could be accommodated, and also explained their bill procedure of confirming the price BEFORE service is done. Saturday morning the technician, Joe, called 15 minutes before arriving at my home to let me know his status. He arrived promptly, and immediately and without asking put covers on his shoes before walking past my front door. He explained the billing procedure that I had heard from Judy, then installed my smoke detectors as requested. He also let me know how the brand I had purchased usually worked, and asked if I had any questions. I then executed payment, after which Joe gave me some business cards and a certificate, explaining about the discounts I could receive in the future if I referred others to Mister Sparky. Throughout the entire service visit, Joe was friendly, appropriately conversational, and professional. After many negative experiences with other service companies in the Portland area, I was more than pleased with Mister Sparky and Joe. If I ever have electrical needs in the future, I would call them immediately, and will be referring them to any friends or family that have similar service needs.

It was a very pleasant experience. They were on time and for the amount of work it was done pretty quickly. The technician was very knowledgeable and he did very good work. They gave me an estimate and it was right on.

Bill was very professional. When he came into the home, he wore paper booties to protect my floors and carpets. He was very efficient and wasted no time. Had all the right tools and all the right parts. He was in and out in a minimum amount of time and did a great job. The job site was left clean.
